• The X460 Tour Driver features a slightly modified center of gravity position to produce trajectories generally preferred by better players• A 460cc titanium club head incorporating a CT/VFT Face, Consistent Alignment Sole and patented Callaway Golf technologies• X-Sole design allows the club head to rest on two distinct points of the sole, preventing any rocking back and forth• The oversized head allows the reposition of weight to the perimeter of the club head to increase the Moment of Inertia (MOI) and forgiveness on off-center hits.• S2H2 technology repositions weight from the hosel to the perimeter of the club head

About the Manufacturer
The story of Callaway Golf begins with the company’s founder and namesake Ely Callaway, a passionate businessman and well known figure in the game of Golf. The company got its start when Mr. Callaway bought a small wedge and putter company called “Hickory Stick USA”, which later became “Callaway Hickory Stick USA” and eventually “Callaway Golf”. From the beginning the company was committed to producing quality product for golfers of all skill levels. Mr. Callaway called it “Demonstrably Superior and Pleasingly Different” (DPSD) golf clubs. Though the company has grown exponentially since it’s modest start in 1982 (when Mr.Callaway would deliver product himself from the back of his Cadillac) the commitment to innovation and quality remains. Now a publicly traded company, Callaway is one of the most visible names in golf with a product line that encompasses the full spectrum of equipment and accessories including drivers, irons, wedges, putters and balls. Callaway golf also owns Top-Flite Golf Company, Odyssey Putters, Ben Hogan and Strata Brands.

    Balls flies from the face. Buyers should be very aware of different shaft types. The standard tour shaft is designed to hit lower ball flight. If a buyer can't get the ball in the air, they should not buy standard shaft. This is a stiff shaft - stiff shafts meet the needs of faster swings. Tour head is square at impact. Off center hits stay on line. Swing weight is D3. Usual shafts are regular flex, weight is D0. This club designed for quicker swinging - roughly 110 or greater head speed golfers.

    I had the ERC Fusion driver for the last 2-3 years. Great club with nice "THWACK" sound, but I noticed that other players with 460cc drivers were MISHITTING their drives nearly as long as my nutty (good) ones. I figured it was time to check out this technology. The Callaway X460 tour model is a bomber! It's neutral setup is not for slicers with so-so swings. This cannon has loud report which I was'nt keen on at first but now it sounds sweet to me! You'll like it too. It does'nt look too gi-normous compared to other 460 clubs either. Shoulder turn + smooth tempo + follow through = crushed drive.
