Callaway X-Tour Satin Chrome Wedge Golf Club

This wedge is great! I have both the 52 degree and 58 degree. The swing weight and feel of the club are perfect. The head shape is pretty traditional and sets up well at address, even with the club face open. I was initially concerned that the wedges had too much bounce (11 degrees) to play off tight lies. However, it has not been a problem for me. I also like to play my sand shots with the club face open, so there was plenty of bounce for bunker play. In addition, you can generate lots of spin with these wedges, especially if you get the model with the PM Mack Daddy grooves. The only drawback is that the PM grooves really chew up your golf ball - literally - pieces of the cover will be in the grooves after a clean shot. If you play with a soft cover golf ball, you will go through a lot of golf balls in one round. That won't prevent me from using this club though... I just need to hit more greens in regulation!

BTW, I've played Vokeys, then 588s and now X-Tours. The X-Tours are just as good as the Vokeys (I only let them go because grooves were worn). I bought new 588s (less expensive) but I was not happy with them. Glad I went to Callaway.

I tried all the wedges I could. I settled on the Callaway X-Tour. This club is very well balanced and weighted. It inspires confidence. I almost never flub it or thin it with this club. So much of shot making is confidence, and this wedge really has helped mine increase A LOT. The ball spins very nicely, and the trajectory is VERY predictable. I liked my first X-Tour wedge (56-13) so much that I bought a whole set (52,56 & 60). My short game has improved dramatically every since.

The soles of the x-tour wedges are also well designed. They never seem to dig into tight fairways etc.

This is a fantastic product. Callaway out did themselves with these X-Tour wedges. The design, the feel, the weight and the look is unmatched by any other product. I love it for those precision shots around the green.

I have only been to the range with it, but so far I really like it. The head has good weight to it and it goes through the turf with ease. The range balls I hit actually seemed to be backing up, which is pretty unusual. I can't wait to use it on the course.

This club is a great addition to my beg. I have included it with my 64*degree wedge, and 48*degree sandwedge. It gives my options around the green that make it good to close out the shot..thanks

This club matches with other irons which are Callaway X-tour iron set. Spin is good, feeling is good and balance of club is good. I like design also. I think this satin chrome is better than Callaway X wedge because X wedge may have some rust overall. Rust does not appear on X-tour.

Super fast shipping. Used the club the next time I went golfing. Club was slightly more scuffed up on the sole than appeared in the pics but the grip exceeded expectations. Scuffs or no, it plays just as well as it's two brothers already in my bag. I'm not complaining, love the deal and really loved the (lack of a) wait time for arrival. Something like 5 days from purchase to bag.

It allows me to feel the head of the club at the same time feel the shot I make. I matched the club wiuth a Nippon 75 NS Pro. It' my favorite wedge now. It feels better than the Titleist Vokey I also have. Best deal!!!

I needed an in between wedge for my golf game and the Callaway Gap wedge is just the right item.

I love the accuracy and distance control of this club. Very consistent from 40-75 yards. Just vary your backswing from knee high to shoulder high (3/4 swing) and just hit down on the ball. Very similar performance to the old Cleveland 588s whose 56 deg I also use. Incidentally, both were designed by Roger Cleveland.

A very good short range wedge that I find useful for most kinds of short pitch and bump & run shots. The 58 degree version is a little easier to hit with a full swing than a 60 degree wedge, while still providing a soft touch. It imparts a fair amount of spin on the ball. Very good value.

Loft and bounce were what I looked for. Price was very competitive. I had used the seller before. Callaway products are some of the best available.

The club has the perfect lenght and bounce (angle) for pitching shots out of tight lies and sand bunkers. Although I've only played a couple of rounds of golf with it I have the utmost confidence when faced with shots as described above.I recommend this club to anyone having difficulty with bunker shots and or tight lies.

I replaced my Golden Bear wedges with these and the difference is amazing!!! I just bought the x-tour iron set and was blown away by the feel, so I started shopping wedges. . . After trying the usual Clevelands and Vokeys and such, I came back to these simply because of the feel. I got the Satin Chrome and I've heard the vintage has a better feel(which I cant imagine any better) so I guess it goes by preference. What can I say? I'm hooked on Callaway irons and wedges!!! They are great!!!
