Callaway X-20 Iron set Golf Club

I purchased this set of golf clubs for a friend. Shortly after purchasing, and paying by papal I received a notice from E-bay that auction was cancelled. The notice recommended immediatly seeking a refund. So I filed a dispute with Paypal for non receipt. I did receive irons, but they had steel shafts. The auction listed them as graphite shafts. The seller would not allow me to return irons. So I tried again to file a dispute with Paypal. This is where the problems begin. Paypal would not allow a second dispute. The seller would not allow me to return clubs. In the meantime I called Callaway to verify if these clubs are genuine. From the information that Callaway gave me it appears these clubs are also fakes. So I'm stuck. I am trying to file a dispute with my credit card company. I have spent several hours getting together paperwork to verify my claim. I still do not know how this will turn out, but this is my worst experience. Most people I have dealt with on E-bay are honest business people. There are bad apples out there. So be careful.

i bought the "scalloways" and the next day was told the sellers ebay site had been compromised. i did what ebay told me to do, by not trying to contact the seller, and to contact paypal. i contacted paypal and got the runaround from them and was told to contact ebay. i tried and gave up. i have since cancelled my cards and havent used ebay since and probably wont. now i have a set of worthless clubs and the impression that ebay and paypal like to pass the buck between each other to avoid paying. i know as a buyer i risk that chance of getting screwed, but this was unavoidable since the seller's feedback was excellent and how was i suppose to know it wasnt actually the seller but some schmuck from China. Please do not respond to this because ive already heard all the excuses between ebay and paypal.

Hey everyone. I have recieved quite a few bogus chinese knock off clubs recently. I have had great luck with getting a full refund with shipping both ways and the 3% for paypal fees. I just sent back a set of X-20's. These were such good knockoffs my callaway dealer was shocked. I just busted someone this evening with a Callaway 460 driver that didnt even have the red and white stripes on it. I ended up going to Callaway pre-owned. The clubs listed as Like New are in fact New. Trade show or display not hit. Got Adilia NV shafts for $659 in like new for a 4-PW. Real deal and paperwork to prove it.

The golf clubs I bought were counterfits even though they were advertised as real ones. It seems that someone stole a sellers e-bay idenity and e-bay did not find this out until after I had bought and paid for the fakes. I received the TKO notice after I paid for the clubs thru PayPal.While I received the purchase price of $373.00 back from the seller thru PayPal I am still out $67.10 which I had to pay in order to send the clubs back to the seller, not to California as listed on the sales info but to Shang Hai, China. I do not feel that I should have to absorb this cost rather I feel it shoould be charged to the seller. So far I have received no positive response from either E-Bay or Pay Pal regarding this matter. I hope someone reads this and gets back to me with a resolution.

After reading all the reviews it certianly looks like Ebay wants the sale to close eventhough they probally already know that the seller is a counterfitter. I suppose it is to collect thier fees as nothing else would make any sense. It is unbelievable that a company that makes millions from its customers seems to not care what happens to us, as long as they get those $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Americacan corporations are not what they used to be. They seem to only care about the bottom line. And I see a lot of you found out that customer service does not seems to exist. Have you noticed that some paypal customer service reps have a mideastern accent and are VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYY hard to communicate with.

Where is the serial number on my Callaway club?
The serial numbers for Callaway clubs are located on the heels of their clubheads near the hosel. Please note that the serial number for a set of Callaway irons will only be on the clubhead of the 8 iron. DJPUTTER

i decided to buy a set of callaway x-20 irons that were going very cheap,big mistake they were fake a very poor imitation of the real x-20 irons, my advise wood be that if there is a product with a stupidly low buy it now price dont jump into it,contact the seller ask if they are authentic,get a good description of what you are getting, it took me a month to get my money back and not all of it i still had to pay for the p&p,tips for noticing a fraud wood be: whereb are they from if they are from abroad such as china they probaly are fake, check the feedback, i hope this helps

After doing over 30 buys on E-Bay I got burned by fraud and stolen seller idenity. This experience makes me unsure about doing business with E-Bay in the future. It was very strange that as soon as I bought this item via Paypal I received an e mail from E-Bay that the seller was a fraud. Why didn'y they do something before the sale? It took many weeks to resolve this issue. The fraudulent seller was in China, but that wasn't noted in the item listing. LET THE BUYER BEWARE!!!!

I was mislead by the seller the irons were callaway seconds and had alot of flaws, and was alerted by ebay that it was not a honest deal afetr i bought the things

I didn't receive this club!
That was Internet fraud and nightmare.
I totally exhausted about eBay and paypal.
I requested prompt investigation but they didn't anything.
Sometimes, I'm using eBay system but I don't believe their system.
Be careful for Internet fraud.
Nobody can keep your money without you.

Imposter using someone elses Ebay account. The clubs are not genuine Calloways. Worst experience on Ebay yet and I can't seem to get the problem resolved with Ebay or Pay-pal. I guess I should have given my $340.00 away to a local charity or church.

The clubs were fakes! The seller said the clubs were located in Kansas, but the were shipped from China. Paypal returned my money, but i still had to pay $70 to ship them back to China.

I've had 2 bad experiences in 3 days regarding illegal third party usage of legitimate ebay seller accounts. When considering a purchase or a bid, watch out for the following: usually the item is listed for only 24 hr. or less. The item may be listed with the bid and buy price the same. Two listings had the same price for steel and graphite shaft irons from the same seller just seconds apart. The clubs were the same exact model except for the shaft. A fraudulant seller used "auctiva" to try to enhance his crime. An account owner hadn't used his account for almost a year and he listed back then that his sight was hacked in his review section. Do some digging and send the seller an e-mail. Wait for a reply to help confirm it is a legal listing. Don't forget, if the price seems to good to be true it probably is.... Thanks for your time.

I wanted new irons, so I purchased this item. I bought the clubs over a month ago, but have not recieved them yet. My experience buying or trying to buy this product has not been good at all and I don't think I will purchase another item on ebay again because I feel like I have been ripped off by not recieving an item I paid for. I guess I would probablly like the irons if I had them.

I already bought this kind of clubs before and i am so happy with it's performance. I highly recommend this set of clubs for golf beginners like me.

great clubs. Make sure you verify with a pro shop and verify serial # with callaway. X-20's saved me 3 strokes a round.

a soft feeling club, very forgiving for an intermediate golfer because of the large sweet spot, i'll hang onto these clubs for a long time

Was poor quality cheap immitation! Am having a problem with trusting e-bay for allowing these type of transactions to occur!

The whole experience with purchasing my golf clubs on Ebay was horrible. The Callaway X-20 set of irons were fake from China. This was my second purchase on Ebay and it became a nightmare. After purchasing the Callaway X-20's Ebay emailed stating they have ceased all ties with the seller and I should do whatever it takes to get my money back. Luckily PayPal stepped up to the plate and reimbursed me my experience. But don't feel Ebay has any sort of recourse watching out for buyers to thwart getting taking advantage of. The seller on Ebay of the golf clubs was shown as someone located in the Midwest not in China. I would have had second thoughts of purchasing something from over seas. Some how the seller was able to make it appear things were being sold in the US under a separate name. I don't know what needs to be done because I am new to purchasing things on Ebay, but I have to think twice about going through the hassle again. The savings might not be worth it.

I am happy with these irons I hit them crisper with more distance than my old clubs. I have recommend them to friends of mine.

I love the balance of these irons, they feel almost like forged. Perfectly balanced easy to swing and get your distance without trying to kill it. I am impressed and would consider buying Callaway products again in the very near future. Wonderful!

Calloway clubs do not have the genuine markings of true calloway manufacturer. I have spoken with the company on verification of clubs. Please advise.
