Callaway Steelhead Fairway Wood Golf Club

I love this club. This club rewards you for putting a good swing on the ball and at the same time is very forgiving. I have traditionally shied away form using woods and have stuck to my irons. Once I have started using the Steelhead I shy away form my irons. I have the five wood and driver to match and love them all. All in all these are great clubs that you can get at a great value.

i was pleased to see that it helped my golf game. i had graphite shafts and couldnt hit straight. i ordered these steel shaft fairway woods and now hit them right down the middle so im very pleased with the product

I needed a club to give me that in-between distance, & after swinging this club it gave me just that. This wood was a perfect match for me.

I was looking for a good used fairway wood and I found this one and won it and the Ebayer's reviews were very good. Because I just recently payed for an item on Ebay and didn't recieve it and the Ebayer is no where to be found.

I love the club. The way it looks and the results, I hit it 280 yards onto a par five in two. The steel shaft I believe is a memphis ten is a perfect 10 for me. I have been able to hit many different shots with it. I played with a Callaway S2H2 3 wood for a long time, and thought I wood never find a better 3 wood. But this tops it hands down.

I just wish Callaway still made the original Steelheads and Warbirds. Extremely forgiving and easy to hit, solid feel, virtually indestructible finish with a very functional factory shaft.

These golf clubs are an older model but are a great club for most women. They are very forgiving, easy to hit off the fairway and have a great feel and sound. For those who cannot afford something much more expensive for the latest technology these clubs even being used are a great alternative.

Although the Original Steelhead is no longer made and has been replaced by newer versions, it is still a very solid club. They still can be found in many of the Touring Pro's bags. If you're looking for a very functional club that will give you plenty of distance, I'd say look no further than this proven gem. Best part is, there are quite a few around and at some terrific prices.

The original Callaway Steelheads rank in my top 5 ALL TIME greatest fairway woods for the following reasons:

1. Setup: the original Steelheads set up square to the eye which promotes a lot of confidence for someone like me, who is always afraid of the "hook" shot with a fairway wood.

2. Playability: the original Steelheads are great off the turf as well as off the tee and better players have no trouble "working" the ball in either direction.

3. Distance: perhaps one of the greatest features of the original Steelheads is that they are very LONG. I used to play the Strong 4 wood (4+) and 7 wood in my bag with stiff steel shafts. The Strong 4 was as forgiving as a traditional 4 wood but as long as most 3 woods on the market. This could be because the strong 4 had a typical 3 wood loft. The 7 wood had a nice small head and also went far. I compared the 7 wood to other 5 woods and found no difference in terms of distance.

4. Forgiveness: I believe that Callaway has always tried to outdo themselves on forgiveness with the Steelhead Plus, Fusion, Big Bertha, FT, etc., fariway woods and, while I think they may have "done it" with the X and X HOT series, I believe the original Steelheads are still one of the most forgiving fairway woods available. The leading edge of these heads glides nicely through any lie and promotes clean, crisp contact.

Callaway woods are great. Mine came with a practically new grip, perfect headcover and no scratches or marks on the head. Excellent club for a very frustrating game!

One of the best fairway woods ever built. Still in the bags of many tour pros. Compact size, deep face, and a great feel off the clubhead. They are a fantastic value!

I likethe fact that they carry the FINE Callaway name. I decided to buy them because they were in Ohio(where we live)and I could make a great purchase,ay a great price,and pick-up the items while enjoying the beautiful Ohio Fall sights.I do admit I didn't research well enough and the Steelhead Style is a little older than I thought.However,this is not any fault of the seller.The clubs are in beautiful shape and though smaller than I expected,wonderful looking items.I believe all in all,just another Wonderful E-Bay experience.

This club is an "oldie but goodie." I've had a set of these Steelheads for eight or more years and like them well enough to look for a second set. Of course, they are no longer in the golf stores but E Bay to the rescue! They hit nice and solidly. I like the feel and sound and they work well for me. For the price, it would be hard to do better.

Club arrived quickly in very good shape with a good-as-new grip. The price was extremely attractive and shipping cost was reasonable. I would recommend this vendor to anyone.
