Over the past 40 to 45 years I have owned many, many sets of golf clubs. Beginning with my first set of Spalding irons, Ben Hogan Director irons, Titleist, Wilson Staffs, Ping G5's, etc. I have found two sets of irons that I always go back to when the games on the line: Ping Eye 2 irons, and the Callaway Great Big Bertha irons. If I had to rate the clubs for over all performance, the Great Big Berthas would just nip the Ping Eye 2's. The solid strike of the GBB and larger hitting area would be my club choice, but only by an eyelash over the Ping Eye 2 irons.
