The company got its start when Mr. Callaway bought a small wedge and putter company called “Hickory Stick USA”, which later became “Callaway Hickory Stick USA” and eventually “Callaway Golf”. From the beginning the company was committed to producing quality product for golfers of all skill levels. Mr. Callaway called it “Demonstrably Superior and Pleasingly Different” (DPSD) golf clubs. Though the company has grown exponentially since it’s modest start in 1982 (when Mr.Callaway would deliver product himself from the back of his Cadillac) the commitment to innovation and quality remains. Now a publicly traded company, Callaway is one of the most visible names in golf with a product line that encompasses the full spectrum of equipment and accessories including drivers, irons, wedges, putters and balls. Callaway golf also owns Top-Flite Golf Company, Odyssey Putters, Ben Hogan and Strata Brands.

They came in plastic, in the Callaway box, had a serial number on the 8 iron... they looked cosmetically sound. I sent to Callaway... they were 100% fake. Have a letter from them stating so. This set has been counterfeited by so many chinese companies overseas that I strongly encourage you to purchase these from a REGISTERED CALLAWAY DISTRIBUTOR. They truly are duplicated more than any other club on the market today, it seems. Call Callaway for more info. Also, if you really want this set, my recommendation is to go to Callaway's pre-owned site that can be found off the link on www.callawaygolf.com. I got duped and got my money back, and got a new set from Callaway for THE SAME PRICE!!! Plain and simply, do some research on this product and talk to Callaway before making ANY online purchases.
