About the Manufacturer
The story of Callaway Golf begins with the company’s founder and namesake Ely Callaway, a passionate businessman and well known figure in the game of Golf. The company got its start when Mr. Callaway bought a small wedge and putter company called “Hickory Stick USA”, which later became “Callaway Hickory Stick USA” and eventually “Callaway Golf”. From the beginning the company was committed to producing quality product for golfers of all skill levels. Mr. Callaway called it “Demonstrably Superior and Pleasingly Different” (DPSD) golf clubs. Though the company has grown exponentially since it’s modest start in 1982 (when Mr.Callaway would deliver product himself from the back of his Cadillac) the commitment to innovation and quality remains. Now a publicly traded company, Callaway is one of the most visible names in golf with a product line that encompasses the full spectrum of equipment and accessories including drivers, irons, wedges, putters and balls. Callaway golf also owns Top-Flite Golf Company, Odyssey Putters, Ben Hogan and Strata Brands.

    The product (FT-i Callaway driver) was a forgery as proved by Callaway Golf and one of their highly respected distributors. My e-mails and correspondence thru PayPal can be reviewed to show this. My correspondence with Callaway indicated they feel that approximately 55% of all their clubs shown as for sale on e-bay are forgeries made mostly in China. I give you and Pay Pal credit for recognizing the truth in this particular situation and refunding my payment to this unscrupulous seller. The sad thing is he was probably back doing the same thing within a day after you pulled his account by using a different identification. Will it deter me from using E-Bay--no, probably not, but I will not look at any further golf club related purchases I'm sure and the negative advertising you received from this is certainly not in your favor even though the fault remains with the individual. It is a shame these folks can't channel their abilities in a fair manner instead of a fradulent direction. I thank you again for handling the event in a professional manner.
