Callaway FT-5 Tour Driver Golf Club

I have a 9.5 neutral with a stock Fujikura Fit On 360 stiff shaft. I am very happy with it. I found that I didn't hit it as far as my R7 at first but seemed to gain distance as I got used to it now I hit it as long or longer. I would recommend this club to anyone.

This club is the best and easiest to hit driver I have ever hit. This club is for all levels of players. The ball jumps off of this driver. I do not like the stock Fit-On 150 Fujikara shafts but you can upgrade your shaft easily.

Was fitted for this particualar driver, yet they are overpriced. On ebay you can get the great product for the best prices. The driver itself is great and forgiving.

This a very solid driver. It is easier to hit longer and straighter than any driver I have ever used. The no houssil at address makes it easy to set up, and hit the ball. This driver has a solid feel as impact. The only thing I do not like is the sound a impact, compared to the Taylormade drivers, but I've gotten used to it.

Hello I am a 2 handicap and I play tournament golf! I previously owned a TaylorMade Quad, FT-3 tour, and a FT-5tour 9.5* with a Graffaloy Platinum stiff shaft. I bought this FT-5 tour 10.5* with a diamana blueboard XS shaft. This is a wonderful driver but what makes it special is the blueboard shaft. I've increase my launch angle and decreased my spin rate greatly which means 10(285to 295yds) extra yards. With this shaft you do not have to try to to keep the ball low. The low spin rate allows the ball not to be affected as much by the wind. My shot dispersion has narrowed quite a bit with this shaft. I hit it farther and hit more fairways. Do not buy the stock(made for mfg diamana) shaft. Buy the aftermarket Diamana shaft it does not say Taylormade, Callaway,or titleist on the shaft it just says Diamana on it. Get the white or blueboard shaft that fits your swingspeed. A very good clubfitter can help with this choice. The shaft is the engine. It's the difference between 4 cylinder and a V8. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DRIVE!!!!

Not too big, not too professional, I recommend FT-5 Tour to player like me, HC 10-15, wants to drive as long as you can. One thing to watch, if you buy used one, take a look at the head-shaft joint part. Re-shafted one tends to be paint chipped, and I experienced some of them has cracks in the corners of non-metal crown. Enjoy!

The club arrived better than described. I am consistently 15 to 20 yards longer on my drives with more control than the titelist I was using. Couldn't be happier.

It is the longest driver that i have ever hit it is pretty easy to work the ball also. I like to hit a cut when i can , and a high draw when any other time.

Unlike some of the new drivers with triangular and squared shapes, the look of FT-5 driver is very classic. From the top looking down, I could not tell the head was 460cc. It just fits my eyes. All black and sleek finish.

As for playability, it is just excellent. The sound is solid, nothing bothersome. Ball flight is on the lower side compared to other 9.5 degree drivers. Very forgiving and good distance. Most of my miss hits ended up in play. No complaints what so ever... No wonder this club made the best club in Golf Digest's equipment review two years in a row.

Make sure you get fitted with the right shaft for Callaway offers a variety of choices. I got fitted with Fujikura 360.

All in all 10 out of 10!!

This set up is only for aggressive ball strikers with fast swing speeds.
Shaft is pretty stiff with a high kick point. Ball comes off hot and carries, but only if you take a strong swing. Not for the faint of heart. Good roll and workability if the set up fits your specifications. Rombax shaft is the real deal.
