The Callaway Big Bertha Warbird was the first golf club I ever fell in love with. I used a demo club at a proshop and was instantly mesmerized by the sound and feel. There was no smack, thwack, twang, or thunk. This club made an actual "ping" noise. Others on the range actually turned to look at me and this new wonder club. The feel is awesome, almost like not hitting a ball. If you've hit a baseball, right on the sweetspot of the bat, you know what I'm talking about. You feel the ball bounce off the club. Best of all, I nailed the ball with this club. It went almost straight. I used cobra, ben hogan, and titlesit woods before this, but I sliced or pushed everything. Somehow with this club, it was more of a sweet little fade. I've since followed the Callaway line up past the Steelhead to the Big Bertha II version. They're great, but it all started with the warbird.

I have a 1 handicap, started playing in 1970. Long ago, years and years ago, I hit one of these and liked it, but just now got around to purchasing one. These little clubs are outstanding. Consistant distances and straight ball flight are the norm. The ball doesn't balloon as with other 6 and 7 woods I have, more of a penetrating flight. They are very easy to hit off the deck, guess it's the soleplate, but whatever, they are the easiest woods to play from short or no grass that I have ever used. Oh, and if you like to hook and fade on purpose, it'll do that too! One of my chief concerns with these older clubs was over the distance issue. Would they be shorter than the newer, hotter heads? I can now say in my experience, that they are just as long as any out there. Heck, for the money you save by purchasing one of these beauties, you could take some lessions and be better off. As a post, parting endorsement, as of now I am in the process of replacing all my fairway woods with these Warbirds. Have the 5 and 2 (deuce) and 7, looking for a mint 3 and 4. Hit 'em straight!

I want to say that the club arrived in great condition, I immediately began playing with club and it is a great addition to my set. I decided to by it because I did not have a good fairway wood and I had previously hit one of my friends clubs and loved it. Thanks again for providing an excellent club.

face isnt a hot as the steelhead models, feels horrible on off center hits, I have a 11 wood war bird, thats much nicer. HAD IT RESHAFTED WITH A GRAPHITE...STILL DONT LIKE IT....

Why did they stop making 2 woods?!?! This is a great club. It has a smaller head and a shallower face than drivers and some three woods today on the market. It is very accurate and workable when you need it to be.

Callaway Big Bertha Warbird 3 WoodOne of the better designed 3 woods ever made. Not only does it have a great feel and above average distance, it has a slightly deeper face which make hitting this club from a bad lie easier. I replaced the original factory shaft with an Aldila NV shaft and now have an excellent "current" golf club. Callaway should bring this club back as new. Great sound when hit solid!

This is an excellent utility/rescue club that offers control, forgiveness and playability, and you don't have to be a tour pro to hit it. When the club has the proper shaft installed in it it is a much better option if you have difficulties hitting long irons.
