Callaway Big Bertha 2004 Fairway Wood Golf Club

Low profile steel fairway woods, with a revised Warbird sole, currently priced like knock offs. What's not to like? Right now these clubs are a bargain. Look around eBay, (or even in the pre-owned bins at the shops), and you'll find these waiting for a new owner at ridiculously low prices. I have no idea why these did not retain their value, but it turns out to be a pretty good deal for the guy who is looking for them.

They are rock solid performers. Above average distance, terrific from the fairway and light rough. Easy to control, draws and fades are almost automatic. Very solid out of the rough as well; the Warbird sole really helps it glide through the tall stuff. You can even do some greenside chipping with them.

Get the right shaft for you and you'll be playing these for years to come. Mine are have the Rifle 6.0 shaft which suits my swing and helps me keep it low, something that is essential in windy Chicago weather. You can't go wrong with this modern version of a classic design. By far the most bang for your buck. These are a staple in my bag.

Callaway clubs are fantastic! I have several of their drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids and they are great! I would suggest upgrading the shafts and grips. I upgraded to a Graphalloy shaft and Torsion Control grips on all of mine and it makes a BIG difference. You will like the clubs - regardless of the shaft and grip - and hit them STRAIGHTER for sure, as well as LONGER! There is a very smooooth impact with the ball and it seems to jump right off the clubface. It's like there's a small explosion when the face meets the ball and it shoots down the fairway. Try these clubs and you will really enjoy them. Make SURE you get them from a reputable authorized Callaway dealer. There are lots of COUNTERFEITS on auction sites out there. Make sure you get the genuine Callaway article. You will be VERY pleased.

Love the feel and look of the club. Nice sweet spot on club. I hit the ball straight out of rough,off the fairway or tee. Makes a nice "ding" when hit. Didn't want one of the older Callaways and didn't want to pay for a Fusion. Decided to buy a 4 wood instead of a 3 and a 5.

I purchased both the 4 wood and 7 wood. Graphite shaft, firm flex. Best fairway woods I've ever hit. Both off the tee, fairway and rough. Liked them so much I purchased 2 Callaway hybrids also. This 14 handicapper is extremly pleased.

My mother was looking for this golf club, and asked me to help her. The price was reasonable, the shipping cost was VERY reasonable, and the seller was very prompt. The price also included a nice head cover, which I thought was a very nice touch. If my mother wants any more clubs I will go to this seller first.

The 5 wood arrived promptly and in excellent condition. I have used it for 3 rounds of golf already and it performs just as I hoped it would. I get the distance and accuracy that I was expecting. I have a Big Bertha 3 wood and driver (I'm updating the driver also) and I know how they perform so I was looking for this same "feel" from this club and I was not disappointed. This club filled in the gap I had in my golf bag and I could not be more pleased.

The Callaway 2004 Fairway woods are under valued on eBay and are an excellent first club for high handicappers. The fairway woods can be found at reasonably cost of 30 to 50 including shipping. The clubs are easy to make solid contact with the ball, tend to get the ball up fast and seem to go fairly straight. For a quality name club at a reasonable price... Look for the Callaway 2004 Fairway woods.

I bought this club to fill out my set of Callaways, but I am very happy with the quality of the club,it really strikes the ball well and is very easy to hit, great club.

Super good looking, small headed fairway wood. Sole is similar to the original Warbird, but the weight feels lighter than the D2 that Callaway states. The face of this club is really good and produces a tremendous launch. As for comparing this club to other Callaway models, I actually prefer the Hawkeye VFT and GBB II's, although for the money, this is a tremendous fairway wood.

Club was exactly what I was looking for. Longer than a four, and higher softer shots than a normal 3 wood.

I wanted an option off the tee that was comparable to my Big Bertha driver. The 15 degrees of loft enables me to get the ball up well off the fairway and still punch a drive a respectable distance off the tee. I really like the feel of the stock Callaway grip, very secure, very comfortable. The stiff graphite shaft delivers a very forgiving swing with plenty of feedback as to ball flight. This will be in the bag for some time to come.

I never received the club. It was shipped USPS Priority mail, but was removed from the box and the box resealed sometime during shipment, probably by a postal employee. The USPS will make no effort to identify or catch the thief, since the item was not insured. The seller refuses to communicate with me on this so we can share the loss that I paid for the club.

I was looking for this club because my clubs are all of this Big Bertha family. This club looks like pretty good condition on eBay described photo, and actually is very nice except one portion. Unfortunately there is 1" scratch on the top face but it was difficult to notice on the photo. I need to pay extra attention when I see the photo.

This is the first five wood that I could hit well consistantly. The ball feels great when leaving this club. There is something about the Callaway design that the competitors just do not seem to have.Highly recommend this club if you are having difficulty with hitting a fairway wood. I recently bought a couple of the Callaway Heavenwood hybrids and had the same great results. You can't go wrong with Callaway; its the best!

I had one of these clubs before and I sold it with my old set of clubs. I loved the feel of the one I had and I hit it well. I decided to buy this one because of the above reason. The one I had I paid twice what I got this one for including shipping cost and It was used. This one doesn't appear to have ever been hit. I will put it to good use.

I am temporally living in US. What I was surprised that used-goods in Golfshop was quite expensive. So e-bay is very comfortable for me to find reasonable used goods. I think purchasing used one without seeing it is a kind of gamble. So far I have not disappointed. This time as well, I was looking for 7 fairwaywood but what I had seen at shops were around $100 even old one. I think I got the one what I had expected.
