This iron is excellent for the days them woods aren't working for you, especially windy, when you want to keep ball low,and long.i use more than 3 wood.Callaway irons are some of the best for forgiveness, and accuracy.

Golf club was in excellent condition. I felt it was in better condition than advertised. Very quick shipping and great communication. I saved this seller in my favorites and plan to purchase from them again.

Callaway Big Bertha 2002 Model Gap Wedge Golf Club
Review created: 08/22/09
by:

The Callaway Big Bertha 2002 Gap (AW) wedge is one of the best all round wedges from 100 yards into the greens for the average golfer (18-22 handicap). I use this gap wedge club to get out of greenside bunkers. It's a very forgiving wedge for chipping and pitching around the greens. I prefer this gap wedge over that of a sand wedge when I need additional 15 to 20 yards out of my approach shot to reach the green. The Gap wedge is 50 degrees loft which fits nicely between a pitching wedge (46*) and sand wedge(54-56*)hence the name. Finally, I prefer a regular flex or light(senior) flex graphite shaft for more feel on the club head. The graphite shaft also is less punishing than steel shafts with older golfers who have arthitis in their hands, wrists or arms.

  BB 2002 7 iron
Review created: 08/01/09
by:

The seven iron came better than promised and completes my set. It is wonderful to have and helped me shoot my 'all time' low score of 79. It was especially helpful for the shots between 160-170 yards (prior to having it I would hit either a 6/8 iron, so i'm very happy with my decision.

  Big Berthea 2002 Sand Wedge
Review created: 11/13/08

I tried this club during a recent golf outing. The SW performed extremely well. The club was on point for all my shots of 65 yards and closer. It's light weight and feel good when swinging. As most golfers would say it has the right feel to it.

The club was exactly what i asked for and had a prompt shipping, although, I would not say that it was the best club for my golf game.

BB 2002 makes irons a lot easier and consisten
Review created: 04/05/08
by:

I looked around a lot and read a lot and chose the BB 2002's as the most forgiving irons out there, except maybe something real new and real expensive. My golf game and seriousness isn't at that level, so these sounded like the best option. I talked to Callaway customer care (great!) and they rated the 2002's as easier to hit than the models before and after them. I have graphite shafts because I have a slower swing and a bad back, so that works best for me and helps cushion those "chunked" shots. I actually feel confident now when I pull out an iron---even a 5. A couple of tips from a buddy and my game has really improved. These irons seem to get the ball off the ground cleanly, even with my inconsistent swing. The ball gets up in the air and goes pretty straight form me now and with a little practice, the wedges are getting consistent too. These typically come in 4 - 10 and a PW, and the 10 iron is actually a pitching wedge, and is good for pitching shots with some roll. I have the W, S and L wedges. The L works great for straight up & straight down shots, like over a sand trap and onto the green, then STOP. The S is great in the sand and will take a ball up over a tree and onto the green like I have never done before. Hitting the different wedges in practice is fun to figure out what each one does differently, and you feel like you have the tools for just about any situation. If you don't hit the sweet spot on these irons, the ball still goes up and straight, just not as far. With the graphite shafts in R flex, these clubs are bit heavy (heavy oversized and wide-soled club heads), but after getting used to that, I like it. I am a bad golfer, getting better, and these really did make a difference for me. I played with a buddy yesterday for the first time in a few months (neither of us play real often) and he saw a big difference, and then noticed I had different clubs. Now he is looking for some. I often find myself going for the 5 iron instead of a hybrid now! So if you are like me and don't take golf real serious or play a lot (it gets in the way of fishing), these are for you. I found that getting stuff from one of the established golf dealers or even Callaway on Ebay is great and the clubs are in as good or better condition than rated. That is a pleasant surprise when you open the box. Now for a driver that will cure my slice...

It matches my friend's set of golf clubs. The clubs are getting older so it was great that we were able to find a match for her set with the same shaft.

Most new clubs on EBAY are fakes
Review created: 09/23/07

Beware that alot of these new clubs on ebay are fakes. If you dont think its true just do a search. Ive bought 2 clubs lately that were chinese knockoffs. They look like the real thing but are usually poorly made.
