BB 2002 makes irons a lot easier and consisten

I looked around a lot and read a lot and chose the BB 2002's as the most forgiving irons out there, except maybe something real new and real expensive. My golf game and seriousness isn't at that level, so these sounded like the best option. I talked to Callaway customer care (great!) and they rated the 2002's as easier to hit than the models before and after them. I have graphite shafts because I have a slower swing and a bad back, so that works best for me and helps cushion those "chunked" shots. I actually feel confident now when I pull out an iron---even a 5. A couple of tips from a buddy and my game has really improved. These irons seem to get the ball off the ground cleanly, even with my inconsistent swing. The ball gets up in the air and goes pretty straight form me now and with a little practice, the wedges are getting consistent too. These typically come in 4 - 10 and a PW, and the 10 iron is actually a pitching wedge, and is good for pitching shots with some roll. I have the W, S and L wedges. The L works great for straight up & straight down shots, like over a sand trap and onto the green, then STOP. The S is great in the sand and will take a ball up over a tree and onto the green like I have never done before. Hitting the different wedges in practice is fun to figure out what each one does differently, and you feel like you have the tools for just about any situation. If you don't hit the sweet spot on these irons, the ball still goes up and straight, just not as far. With the graphite shafts in R flex, these clubs are bit heavy (heavy oversized and wide-soled club heads), but after getting used to that, I like it. I am a bad golfer, getting better, and these really did make a difference for me. I played with a buddy yesterday for the first time in a few months (neither of us play real often) and he saw a big difference, and then noticed I had different clubs. Now he is looking for some. I often find myself going for the 5 iron instead of a hybrid now! So if you are like me and don't take golf real serious or play a lot (it gets in the way of fishing), these are for you. I found that getting stuff from one of the established golf dealers or even Callaway on Ebay is great and the clubs are in as good or better condition than rated. That is a pleasant surprise when you open the box. Now for a driver that will cure my slice...
