Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Playstation 3)

I read the reviews elsewhere on this and I was not sure if I was going to get it.
I think they were wrong.
I own Call of Duty 3 for the XBox 360.
Reviews said Call of Duty 4 was "More of the Same".
I don't know if it is the PS3 or the Duty 4, but this game is alot better than Duty 3 on my 360. The Smoke effects are better. The Water is amazing... Damn shot again starring at the water...
I noticed something in Resistance Fall of man that is also present in this game, Everything is alive. The Grass whisps in the wind, this makes the environment come alive.
I think Resistance does the Ambiance better, but it is nicely done here too.
Swinging the Sixaxis as if to do a Rifle Butt causes your on screen character to do a Rifle Butt... Cool...
The Driving Sequences using the Sixaxis takes a little getting used to, however you can still drive via the Analog stick as well.
Graphics are Very nice, I did not see the Frame Rate Problems spoke of by the Reviewer. The Sound is very good. I did not give the Sound a 10 though because after playing Resistance where there is more clips of audio from the AI characters, I found hearing the same thing over and over again to be very "Last Gen" of Course my "Next Gen" 360 has the same problem. I think it stems from people starting to use the Extra capacity available on the BluRay disc.

Free Online Thanks to Sony. Goodbye XBox Live. Until Microsoft gives Live for Free, I will not renew. The Microsoft Fanboys keep trying to convince me that the Xbox Live is somehow better, well... after using them both I can not see the "greatness" that constitutes $50 a year.

If you liked Call of Duty 3, You will love Call of Duty 4.

This game has everything and playing it on a 42" plasma flat screen tv just makes it that much more awesome! I was extrememly pleased by how fast it arrived and the quality of the shipment. Thank you for hours of upcoming enjoyment.

Best FPS I've played that wasn't on a PC. Graphics are superb, Sound is great, and the replay value of this game is amazing. If you want a game that has a short but sweet single player, but an amazingly addictive multiplayer, CoD4 is for you.

bought for my grandson he is 14yrs he loves the game and his mother watch and approved.she is very concern with violence in the games and check conscientiously this one met with her approval and is played often

A Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Review!

Call Of Duty 4 is bye far my favorite game and best shooter to come out to date! The graphics are OUT OF THIS WORLD, The Campaign may be short, but oh my is it sweet. It has a great story behind it, the game play is second to none. It has great replay value to it. You can also unlock cheats bye collecting all the Intel. Not only that, but the campaign is just part of the game!

Once you beat the campaign mode, you have arcade mode. You play through the game in a arcade style, trying to rack up as much points as you can! It can be very fun and challenging at the same time. You can also play level bye level, or try to go through the whole game, now in that mode, that's a great challenge!

Now, the heart of the game. Online Play! Online play is great, you have custom classes you can make upon reaching a certain level. You also have Achievements. When you complete certain ones, you can unlock parts to further customize your guns! Also, as you level up, new guns/perks become available to you. You can level up to 55. Now, at 55 you have a big choice to be made. You can either stay at that level and keep all your achievements, and weapons and perks you unlocked, or you can start a new mode called prestiege mode. You can level up to 55 10 times. The max you can get is level 55 10th prestiege! Now, that is hours upon hours upon hours of gameplay. This game is bye far worth your money. They also have map packs for new maps on the multiplayer mode.

10 out of 10 stars!

This game bye far is a BUY! If you rent it, your just going to go out and buy it. Best game to hit a console yet!

Call of duty 4 is a very well put together game. It has excellent online and offline play. You get to choose from a large variety of weapons in online mode as well as different attachments for the guns. The maps are incredible, very open and all of them more unique then the next. COD4 is a must buy game for those who want a excellent PS3 First Person Shooter. Highly Recommend 5/5

I purchased game for my son. He says he really enjoys it. He especially likes playing it online with mutiple players. He gives it a "9.5" out of 10.

I have been a fan of 'Call of Duty' and all the Tom Clancy related games, especially 'Rainbow Six Vegas'; however this game was unlike any other I had played in quite some time. The graphics are done beautifully, there are periodical 'mishaps' within the game that make you feel like you are more actually involved within the game, and the online-gameplay option is very fun and engaging especially if you have a bluetooth or USB microphone. I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys strategy, military tactical, etc. type gaming, because it's a MUST-HAVE.
