Description
Call of Duty: World at War throws out the rulebook of war to transform WWII combat through a new enemy, new tactics and an uncensored experience of the climatic battles that gripped a generation. As U.S. Marines and Russian soldiers, players will employ new features like cooperative gameplay, and weapons such as the flamethrower in the most chaotic and cinematically intense experience to date.

Special Features
  • Call of Duty 4 Technology – Built using the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare engine, Call of Duty: World at War utilizes a bedrock of technology that delivers jaw-dropping visuals, while empowering players to employ elements like fire to affect the dynamics of the battlefield. Players that attempt to harness the power of new weapons, like the flamethrower, will find themselves capable of burning away environmental elements that give cover to a camouflaged enemy, leaving a charred battlefield – and their foes – in their wake
  • Coordinated Assault and Support – For the first time in the franchise, Call of Duty: World at War introduces co-op, bringing fresh meaning to the No One Fights Alone mantra. Call of Duty: World at War co-op features up to four-players online, or two-player local split-screen, allowing gamers to experience harrowing single-player missions together for greater camaraderie and tactical execution. The title also incorporates traditional multiplayer components such as challenges, rankings and online stats into the co-op campaign for deeper re-playability and advanced gameplay
  • New Theaters of Operation – Players fight as U.S. Marines and Russian soldiers facing enemies – some new to the Call of Duty franchise – that employ lethal new tactics and know no fear, no mercy, nor the rules of war. Epic conflicts are fought on multiple fronts, playing through the climactic battles of WWII in the grittiest, most chaotic and cinematically intense experience to date
  • Innovative Multiplayer – Multiplayer builds from the success of Call of Duty delivering a persistent online experience for more squad based interaction. New development with party systems allows an intimacy with squad based combat never before seen in Call of Duty. Combined infantry and vehicle missions add a new dimension to the online warfare and offers more PERK abilities
  • Cinematic Quality Graphics and Sound – Treyarch's award-winning sound department returns with effects that add to the already immersive cinematic intensity of the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare game engine

Not as good as COD 4 but good game either way

      PROS:
Intense combat situations with lots of booms and bangs everywhere
Great graphics, thanks to the COD 4 engine
Great combat scenarios (inside the Reichtag, Japanese trenches)
Good single player campaign (about 8 hours long)
Great multiplayer, a lot like COD 4 but WWII style
Nazi Zombie Co-op Survival mode is a great add on
Lots of weapons to pick up and swap
The overpowered flamethrower (one shot, all burned!)
The concept of the whole game is a great one

      CONS:
Numerous glitches and bugs (patches are coming out to fix them)
Sometimes the AI is really dumb
Sounds can be a little flat and chunky at times
I many times couldn’t say who was friend and who was foe
Some parts are a little bit cheesy

      OVERALL THOUGHTS:
You can’t speak of this game without mentioning that is almost completely based on Call of Duty 4. It is like playing a WWII total conversion modification of last years best FPS, which in the end is actually a really good thing.

You should know that the developers of this game are the same guys behind Call of Duty 3 (which is considered to be the worst COD in the series). Infinity Ward did not have to do with this project and the lack of polished details shows a lot throughout the game. The game tries to make his own version of COD 4 WWII style, and for parts it works quite well, but it sometimes it just feels a little bit forced. Now don’t get me wrong, this game is pretty good. I had a lot fun with it and the combat intensity for which the COD franchise is known is intact.

Bottom line is that if COD 4 received 95/100, COD: World at War would get an 85/100. It is a great game worth playing, but the numerous glitches and rough edges prevent it to be an excellent game.

This is a great product! But it can be expensive! I'm glad I found www.ultimate-free-gifts.co.uk where I got mine for free :)

All I did was sign up and then completed ONE offer. I recommend the Intuit 30 day FREE trial ,OR the Seattle Coffeeoffer as it is FREE to complete and takes a few minutes!

There are many alternative offers you can complete such as the King.com offer where you have play through $5. There is a chance you will win your money back anyway!

There are many other gadgets I can get for free this way, such as consoles, iPhones, iPods, Plasma TV's and the list goes on

      Visit: www.ultimate-free-gifts.co.uk

before you think about putting your hands into your pocket for this gadget.

The site can afford to send out these "free" gifts because you have to complete an offer first. They get paid commission when me and you do so, which is used to buy the gift with money left over as profit for them!

I hope you enjoy the extra $$$'s saved in your bank account from using ultimate-free-gifts.co.uk :)
