Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (PC Games, 2009)

The single player story for Modern Warfare 2 is absolutely stunning. Infinity Ward has kept true to their style of game development by once again making sure you never leave first person view. I enjoy cinematic scenes, but the level of intensity that you get throughout the campaign whilst always being in first person view is great. Modern Warfare 2 is a direct sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and picks up right where Call of Duty 4 left off. Modern Warfare 2 adds a lot more to the campaign than Infinity Ward’s last title, including graphics as well as unique missions that you should definitely experience for yourself. The graphics in Modern Warfare 2 are the best I have seen so far in a Call of Duty game while keeping it smooth with a constant 60 frames per second. The detail of the environments and the character models are beautiful. Some of the scenes throughout the campaign are really breathtaking as they are action packed, and keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time. To add to that, there are many surprises and twists throughout the game that no one will see coming, making this story an amazing action packed thriller. Although the campaign is amazing, it was fairly brief, lasting around 6-8 hours depending on the difficulty. And speaking of difficulty, I would add that the game was a lot easier on Veteran than any of the other Call of Duty games.
Now for the good stuff; multiplayer. Multiplayer for Call of Duty 4 is mostly what made it so popular and in Modern Warfare 2 it gets even better. The addition of many killstreaks and having the ability to customize which ones you want ,with a max of 3 available at once, is where this game’s multiplayer action really differs from Call of Duty 4. Even in objective modes like Search and Destroy, you can gain killstreaks throughout the course of many rounds, granted you don’t die at the end of the round. And if you try using you stealth class from Call of Duty 4 or World at War in this game you might not be safe with the addition of Heartbeat sensors as an attachment to certain weapons which detect movement. Of course there is a perk to counter that though. Many perks from Call of Duty 4 have been made into attachments or equipment. There are many additions to the game that will really let you personalize your class to your liking, much more so than the previous Call of Duty games. I saw a lot of people running around with many different class setups instead of seeing everyone with the same 5 as in the other games. You can now unlock titles and emblems for yourself that show up in game. Modern Warfare 2 has added more modes as well. Here are the new additions to the game:

Demolition – Attack & Defend two bombsites (Similar to Sabotage with full re-spawns)
3rd Person Teams – Third Person Perspective with Team Deathmatch, Domination, CTF and Demoliton
Hardcore Ricochet Search and Destroy – Hardcore S&D where friendly fire will kill you
3rd Person Cage Match – 1v1 Deathmatch in Third Person
The added guns to the game are also cool, and the models for them are extremely detailed. With all the additions to multiplayer, it can take a little getting used to but is extremely fun.

awesome game! the graphics are amazing and the single player campaign is epic! multiplayer has gamemodes that will keep you up all night!

Well I bought a cd key from a chineese dealer and my account deactivated in the 6th day so I asked for a refund and luckily I got refunded. After that I bought this one and it worked perfectly, my game is available on steam now.. Doesn't matter even if I format I can re download it without any cost..
and if you think that original price is 59.99 dolars I think this auction is a pretty bargain! 4/1 off of the original price.. Yummy.

do not go for cheaper ones coz they are obviously fake or not really working properly.

This game is amazing! Possibly, the best release of the year! I purchased it cheaper than what infinity was selling it for and I stand by my decision.

PROS: Great Game! It's awesome! So many different weapons you can use, different combinations you can make, it's just sooooo much to talk about! You can earn titles, emblems, kill streak options, and so much more! It's like counterstrike but on another level!

CONS: Until this crappy steam releases a new patch, these hackers will be having a fiesta. I mean it's ridiculous. I don't think i've seen so many hackers in my life, it makes game play discouraging.

In regards to the storyline from the first Modern Warfare, this definitely continues where it left off! Expect a few interesting new characters and some original ones to return and a crazy twist of events due to previous situations from the first MW.

They did add a new mode called "Spec Ops" where you either run a gauntlet, hold down the fort, or temporarily go coop with a friend to take down some bad guys.

NOW, if only Activision didn't short change the PC version so much by NOT fixing several annoying bugs and just focusing more on the console versions instead. I blame Activision, NOT Infinity Ward, since Activision was the one to publish and have the final financial say. This game also FORCES you to install and create a STEAM account upon start up. It's a bit annoying at first, but you get use to it fast.

The single player is excellent, everyone complains that it is too short but they fail to realize that the multilayer is what the game is all about. It's cool to unlocks in which you can pick your weapons and customize them. The IWnet system isn't as bad as people make it out to be although it does have its issue with team balancing and ping. The game definitely isn't worth the full $60 and that is why I got it off ebay.

Great game, i downloaded it without problem. graphic excellent, needs strong graphic card, but wit it, gets smooth playing and great experience.

No dedicated servers, a lot of lag on Spec Ops and Multiplayer, no lean which is a staple of the Call of Duty series. Single player is as expected. Much like the first Modern Warfare single player. Graphics are good. It's the online gameplay that is lackluster. Infinity Ward really dropped the ball on the PC version of this. Console port basically. Matchmaking isn't a good medium for PC online play. You will notice the lag unless you have very high speed internet, then you'll be the host so you won't notice it. For the majority of people like me, we won't be hosts and WILL notice the lag. It effects your gameplay tremendously. Hitreg has a very noticeable delay. Almost as if you were sniping from hundreds of yards away and the bullet impact hits 2 seconds later even though you're shooting 4 ft. away from your target. It's sad really.

I liked everything but the multiplayer. They already have hacks out for multiplayer so the game is pretty much already ruined for the most part. I would buy for xbox not pc.
