Cake Mania: In The Mix (Wii, 2008)

I like the cake mania computer games so i was very excited to try out the cake mania for the wii. It has a different feel than the computer game but a similar look. The character does not seem to move as fast on the wii as she does on the computer game and it is more difficult to keep up. Keeping in mind that i have only played this game one time and just got it yesterday.

I WILL be playing it again because it was pretty fun. Though I am 36 and pretty easily amused as I haven't really played many video games since the Atari. The 3d effects are pretty basic, similar to the computer game. Nothing like some of the stuff currently on the market. This game is very cartoonish....No SUPER JILL or anything. My kids think its lame.

The story line of this game is pretty stale. If you are looking for new cake mania because you have already played all computer cake mania's out there for the computer, you will not be impressed. It is very similar to cake mania 1 and 2.

This version of Cake Mania was more challenging than the PC version because you have to incorporate the different buttons on the Wiimote rather than just clicking the mouse. At first it was annoying, but once I got the hang of it, I actually liked the challege that exceeded just clicking the mouse. The only problem I found was that a few times I would make the cake to specifications but the customer still would not accept it. Not sure it that is a glitch in the program, but it happened 3 or 4 times to me. Also, when you point and click you have to be very precise because the clients/frostings are very close to one another in some scenes and this can slow you down if you don't click in exactly the right spot. The graphics are great and it was cute to see my Mii show up as a customer in the higher levels. Easy to get through if you play it regularly, I was done in a couple weeks just playing here and there, which was basically the same as the PC game. Do know that it is a repeat, for the most part, of the PC Cake Mania 3. I figured this out when I got it but luckily I only played the online free version so it wouldn't let me get that far as to ruin the Wii game.

Granddaughter received for Christmas and started playing and even got me playing. Fun game. Took me a while to get the movements but not granddaughter.

i like the game but it is played diffent then the ds or psp it not that easy to play on wii i would have liked it butter if it was played the same way

If you like the PC version, this is right up your alley. It has more interesting levels and upgrades. However, it did take a while to get use to using two buttons compared to a mouse click on a PC. It has a multi-player option with different characters.

My game arrived super fast. I couldn't wait to play it. Its in perfect condition. My children & I play it all the time. My daughter has this game on her Nintendo DS. She takes it everywhere. Now we have it on WII & everyone gets a turn.
