This is a MUST read! I got the book for my 12 y/o niece (she has all the dolls and the first book), but I could not put it down or give it to her until I finished reading it (all in one sitting). Great job, BeB! Can't wait for the next one! From one Cajun lady to another -- "You do us proud!"

I found Mary Lynn Plaisance's books to be such a wonderful and entertaining read, and one that I, as an adult, took great pleasure in reading. I wholeheartedly recommend her books to everyone who loves a well-constructed story. Her books are bound to become a Louisiana classic.

You've created a Cajun fairy land, like Walt created a Disneyland. That's the way I read it. Your characters feel like a Disney scene set in the sugar cane fields. Madam Plume is my favorite with the Queen and the Poulette a close second. I savored every page of your story. I give you 5 stars.

Mary I have read your book and I must say that it is a GREAT read!! What a story. Your descriptive narrative is second to none---I felt as though I were in the action the whole time. The "braided rug road"---what a visual! Mary, thanks for all your hard work--all I can say is that it was worth it.

I purchased these books because I love Marylynn, she is a good artist and wonderful doll maker....I met her a few years ago and we have become the best of FRIENDS....THANKS FOR THE WONERFUL BOOKS

A great book for all ages. Much imagination, funny and entertaining. Wonderful easy reading for that summer vacation on the beach or anywhere. I can't wait for her next book to come out. After I read it, my 23 year old read it and she loved it too.
