By the Way by Red Hot Chili Peppers (CD, Jul-2002, Warner Bros. Records Record Label)

This CD was a pleasant surprise to me. Lots of great songs in true chili pepper style. I don't know how to write like a music critic. I just know that I like the beats, guitar, bass, and vocals on almost all the songs. It's farout and original without being too farout and unfollowable. It's funky and hyped up without losing its nice mellow tone. Any pepper fan will like what's here.

This is another great CD by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. They once again have great sound. If you are a fan this is a must. This is one of their best CD and every fan should have a copy!

This album of RHCP really kind of mellows a lot of things out for the band. They have several really well put together mellow easy listening songs that you can enjoy. I just love how they have a sound of their own and this album is no exception to that. Some of the better harmonies are put into this album especially on tracks such as "Dosed"..."Don't Forget Me"...."Can't Stop"....I reccommend this album to ANYONE that even like the Chili's just for a few songs they have heard on the radio. Great Album.

Enjoyable album where most songs are good. favorite song is cavron.There are moments where I sense the beatles and there is where they truly excel.

This is definately their mellowest album. Missing the cranking rock licks present in their earlier albums. Even their later albums are more rocking. Lots of melodic vocals.

Perhaps the class act of the Chili Peppers' discography. The band still flows through the album discovering new territory away from the alternative funk that made them famous. This album is full of high quality, mellow songs that feature Anthony's great voice!

a great group and he took the cd home with him so I made this his christmas gift

This is the best release from this multi-talented band. John Frusciante's guitar work is amazing. Anthony brushed up on his vocals. All in all, just a great cd with incredible songs.

If the artwork didn't clue you in to begin with, this RHCP album was sure different than their previous work. While slightly on the experimental side it should not be taken as a weak effort on part of the band. You have bit over an hour of a musical treat with this album mixing a wide range of sounds but with a vibe that makes it worth every listen you can get. From the standard funk bass, and rap like vocals, to excellent psych like grooves, this album is sure to strike a chord with just about anyone. The title track is of course a great one, and the track "Cabron" shows the band with a Spanish / Latin acoustic flair to their style. It sounds almost unbelievable but they manage to pull it off melodically and successfully. Overall this is an album worth picking up, espcially for RHCP fans, don't worry about the experimentation on this album, it may seem tough to digest at first but it grows more and more on you with every listen.
