This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. With a sleeve festooned with dollar bills and a sound halfway between Rage Against The Machine and Slipknot, it's easy to forget that One Minute Silence hails from London not LA. BUY NOW...SAVED LATER is its second album and, after gaining an impressive fanbase in Europe, is an obvious attempt to break into the lucrative American market. From the bass-driven opener "Rise And Shine," to the atmospheric closing track of "Words," One Minute Silence rages with the best of them. This is especially true of tracks like the single "Holy Man" or "16 Stone Pig," where the band focuses its anger on those predictable targets, religion and the police. What elevates this album from the metal pack is the exceptional production courtesy of veteran knob twiddler Colin Richardson, who brilliantly captures the band's dynamic live sound. Whether America needs to import rap-tinged metal bands into a saturated market is open to discussion but One Minute Silence certainly has the necessary sonic armory for success at its disposal.
