Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (DVD, 2000, Special Edition)

I bought this movie because I'm a Paul Newman fan and I think this is one of the best westerns I've seen. Didn't care much for the soundtrack, but loved the movie. It has humor in it as well which is a plus for me. Great acting, great movie!

This is a very good movie, I had seen it several years ago, and decided to add it to my DVD collection at home. In my opinion, this a a classic movie, one that you can enjoy over and over. Well done with some very good comedy thrown in, you can't help but like Butch and Sundance, but at the same time you realize that their time, or era had past, and their end was near, it was only a mater of time till their fate, capture or death, would come.

When it comes to classic movies, this one should be on you list to watch. The classic teaming of Robert Redford and Paul Newman helped to make this movie fun and exciting! Newman and Redford play Butch Cassidy and Sundance (Henry Longbaugh) and it chronicles the earlier part of the true life partnership of two notorious western outlaws. Though not entirely true to history, this movie is more for entertainment purposes than for actual historical documentation. The cast also includes Kathrine Ross as Sundance's girlfriend, Etta Place. This movie was the winner of 4 Acadamy Awards including Best Story and Best Screenplay. A true "must see" for any classic movie or western buff!

I love Western Movies and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid is one of my favorites,with two outstanding actors, Paul Newman and Robert Redford. This movie had alot of comedy and some serious moments, it makes me wish I was alive back then and could have rode with Butch and Sundance. I had a camp in upstate New York that was hidden way back in the woods and it was hard to find so we named it "The Hole In The Wall" after Butch and Sundance's famous hideout.

I bought the movie mainly for the either the fearlessness or the ignorance they showed in the final scene, but have since fallen in love with the entire film. It is quite humorous, especially the interplay of Robert Redford and Paul Newman. A must have for any movie collection.
