Burnt Toast by Hilary Liftin, Teri Hatcher (2006, Hardcover)

I love this book. I've read many books about people. This one is very honest. I have never read a book where someone is so honest about issues about food, sex, nervousness, fears, everyday life, self esteem, marriage, being single, and everything that you can think of that a woman goes through. I thought Teri Hatcher was very vulnerable and will change and validate people for reading this book. I am really enjoying this reading and I think other people would enjoy it too.

You may or may not be a Desperate Housewives or Teri Hatcher fan, but the book is not that interesting. It basically is a self serving piece of garbage that all she does is complain about her life, which in hindsight, is not all too interesting. If you are truly a die hard Teri fan, maybe this book is for you. For all others out there, move along.

the book certainly meets my expectations. teri hatcher seems to have done a very good job. she wrote very fluently.

I wanted to buy this book because I heard good things about it and I wanted to read something different. This was just that, it wasn't like anything I ever read before and as I read it I found my self laughing at Terri Hatcher's stories comparing them to mine (seeing that I'm not the only one those things happened to) and using the values in my day to day life, this book will stick with me forever and I recommend it everyone, family, friends and YOU!

Want a fun escape, then heat up the toaster and BURN SOME TOAST!....Teri Hatchers "Burnt Toast" is an engaging, hilarious, walk down the Road Ms.Hatcher calls "Life"....from early teenage angst,to the tales of her bonding as a single mother...Theres nothing Desperate about Teri's slow crawl to Hollywood's finish line....In and out of TV Pilots that never took off, or her jobs doing Sci-Fi movies that only air at 3am on cable TV....Her Humility eventually got her everywhere..."Burnt Toast" is a quick read, at about 245 pages....and her comedic style of storytelling,and oddball demeanor really translate well...this Sexpot is well over 30,a total goofball of a gal, and its a great way to spend a lazy afternoon. Every other page had me laughing or involved...Fans of the "DHousewives" show, will enjoy seeing just how much her character - Susan, is a reflection of her....great book for a Single Mom, a Young Divorcee, The aspiring Drama geeks, The Gay best friend, your Older AUntie, and anyone out there struggling to make it while keeping one foot in the door, she smiles and serves up the Sass here....!!!!

I read an article about this book and thought the reviews were great. Therefore, I decided to purchase the book in hopes of receiving some wisdom from another female. I believe that even a small amount of wisdom and knowledge is beneficial. I just received this book last week and have only gotten thru the first chapter. I find it very interesting and am looking forward to completing it soon.

Teri Hatcher reveals her years of self-sacrifice and how women everywhere expect they should settle for the worst in life. When she hit 40 she asked herself if she really wanted to spend the next ten years that way. And the answer was no as she tells you in this sometimes hilarious, sometimes serious book about philosophies of life.

STOP EATING THE BURNT TOAST AND READ TERI'S BOOK.

I really loved the funny, candid and interesting way Terri Hatcher expresses her life experiences. It seems she has reach a lot of personal growth through many years of working as an actress, marriage, divorce and being a single mother. She shares this valuable information benefit others. I have passed it on and plan to buy this book for many females I care about. Lynn H.

I purchased Burnt Toast by Teri Hatcher about a month or so ago and I loved every moment of reading it. I couldn't even put it down. I have read it once and I loved it so much that I am reading it again but taking it one chapter at a time. And it is not so much that she is or isn't a good writer because of course she was directed on how to write, however, true stories are TRUE... They inspire you and make you want to do something. In fact, this book made me think so much taht I look at life in another aspect now. She has even made me WANT to watch Desperate Housewives. I rented the collection and have watched every episode and can't wait for the new season to start.

I love this book. If you are a Teri Hatcher Fan, you will love it also. It is a open book about Teri, and life!Honest and fun reading.
