Burnout Revenge (PlayStation 2, 2005)

One word describes this game, amazing. The Graphics improved, the tracks full of alternate routes, and the explosions have never been bigger. The only set back to the game is the soundtrack that comes with it, but that's easily fixed with the custom soundtracks. Great game, and keep racing burnout style.

The first i ever played burn out, i didnt doubt that ived buy it. it makes me crazy frogetting that the real thing has a rule name in the street! i really enjoy the graphics, sounds and the best of all was its addictive part, the takedown.i will explain why!

gameplay: goddess! from racing genaration burn out teach me how to be rude in the street while im driving one of the best car in the world! of course it was just in the game, i cant afford to buy some.the new type of gameplay that i can now struck the cars in front of me and the car can jump from a high place.

graphics: this was the one of the gun flag burnout has, its graphics for those who just seen burnout first time, i absoluty say that they will notice the graphics was awesome and can compare to the real thing!

10/10 sound: the sounds is great i feel like i really in the racing field, that make me serious to be more rude in the field!

I had a friend pick out Burnout 3: Takedown while tryign to figure out which game to play for the weekend. He really had no idea what to expect and I didn't either. Fast forward a month later and I was still in love with the game and trying to get past everything.

I just picked this newest version a couple of nights ago and wow, it's like a whole new game, well, it is, but yeah! It's more difficult, new additions like shunting cars like never before and the crash part of the game got an uplift as far as boosting goes.

As mentioned in other reviews, if you're into need for speed games or gran turismo, this may or may not be for you. This game is aggressive and far more intense than those games. I was never one to move the controller around when playing games, but this series of games has me looking like a 7 year old in front of the TV.

If you aren't sure about this game, go rent it and fall in love and then buy it, wow, the fun never ends...

I got this game on Half.com for about $33. It's definetly worth buying! It's so realistic. I love racing and fighting at the same time. The Burnout franchise definetly has a solid winner. I don't like how unlike Burnout 3: Takedown, you can't just hop into a crash mode or other mini-games, you have to start a World Tour (which is like a career mode in other games).
Other than that, the grafix are great, everything is awesome.

Definetly recommend this! ...just don't go out and want to ram the guy in front of you next time you hop in the car, it's that realistic!

Why should you spend your money on this game?

1. If you have played Racing Games before, for example Grand Turismo and Need For Speed, the speedometer says 150 MPH, but I mean, the car it self seems to be moving at around 20 MPH. Thats whats so cool about Burnout Revenge. If the speedometer says 210 MPH, you better believe you're going 210 MPH, its so detailed, as you're speeding, you feel the speed because on the screen it seems that way.

2. In other racing games, when you like bump or crash into a vehicle, NOTHING HAPPENS! In Burnout Revenge however, if you bump or crash, you better believe something happens. Careful players wont win, you got to be aggresive, whats bad about that?!

This game is awsome. I haven't played anyother burnouts, but I assume that this one is the best! It has everything, takedowns, crashes, crashbreakers. GREAT GRAPHICS, GREAT EVERYTHING!!! YOU NEVER WANT TO STOP PLAYING IT!!! Everything on it is new and/or improved. Cars are AWSOME!!! YOU MUST BUY THIS GAME!!!!

Burnout:Revenge is #1 ultimate game-I played a few hours with my neighbor and MUST buy it now. This game has realistic detail of graphics/crashes/sounds and now includes ramps and alternate roads to exit compared to B3 where you could not. Burnout Revenge now has the use of Crashbreaker for use in racing accidents in addition to Crash Events. This game has many challenges and levels of play as with previous Burnout. It changed me - I stopped playing video games years ago & now I have logged in 1000's of hours on B3 and now Burnout Revenge!!! I need another PS2!! I started 2 yrs ago playing Burnout and then last year B3 with nephew and it has changed my life forever.

Awesome, just awesome! The ENTIRE family loves this!!!! Even the wife loves it! BUY IT! It is well worth the money. This is the BEST racing game I have EVER played! Simply put, it ROCKS!

This is auctually the first Burnout Game I have gotten, I was sold on it by the demo, and I must say it is the fastest car racing game I have ever played, forget Nascar 06, this thing is FASTTTTT! the only drawback to this game is the multiplayer. it says you can play four player, but what it does is give each player a turn at the same race with the same controller, so its just like giving each other turns, whats the point of calling it a multiplayer when thats what it does! overall I give it a 4/5, and I hope this helps, Chrissuard.

Burnout 3 has been great. I rented Burnout:Revenge and so much has improved that I'll probably be trading up soon.

I've played the Burnout: 3 demo in past, and my friends couldn't stop playing the one stage over and over again! I decided to purchase this title, since I skipped out on Burnout: 3, and I wasn't disappointed! The same basic concept is in this one as the 3rd....destroy cars!! There's little more to do in this title, as the other types of "races" keep you interested!

To start, there are a couple of ways to play during a "career mode". Race, which of course is first to the finish, smashing and shunting your way to victory. Crash, which they give you a section of a busy road and your object is to cause as much chaos as possible and creating a BIG dollar amount of damage to earn your gold medal. Road Rage, take out as many cars as possible, and they give you a set amount of cars to wreck to get your medal.

Gameplay is fun, but of course if you overplay it in one day you may get a little bored. It is definitely a "get-your-friends-over-with-some-beer-and-blow-crap-up" type of game! :) Controls are easy, and if you're going 180 MPH...you REALLY feel like you're going that fast as the environment FLIES past you!

The graphics are subpar, as they could be better....but at 175 MPH it's hard to spot good graphics! The loading times are AWFUL, as it takes FOREVER to load the races and if you want to RETRY...you're in for the FULL load time once again. The only race it doesn't "reload" are the Crash type races.

Online with this game is pretty fun, but most of the races are 5-6 race sets and if you get in a group with people that are awesome at this game (and there are a LOT of them!) then you're stuck with them for 5 or so races! There is absolutely NO lag time or delay in controls on a good broadband connection, and getting in a race is easy and fast. Everybody online also has "crash" and "race" ratings so you know who's good at what.

Overall, if you can get this game for a good price it's worth it, especially for a party kind of game. As for one-player replay value after you're done with it, I'm not sure it would hold true.

Nice fast paced racing game different than any other out there. If you ever owned any Burnout Series game you will not be disappointed.

This game is the bomb...... You can maneauver the car like a real one..... One bonus feature is you get credited with more boost for smashing people off the road or blowing them up...... It's everything you'd like to do in a normal car but can't, because it's illegal.....

Why stick to the rules when you can BREAK them in this game. In this game I get to do what I've always wanted to do in other racing games: CRASH THE HECK OUTTA THEM!!

I have always enjoyed playing burnout games in the series more then any other facing game I can think of. I would say that Burnout Revenge is my favorite so far. I am looking in to the Burnout Paradise for my new ps3. I just got a copy of Burnout Revenge ps2 for my two kids thinking that they would enjoy it and I was right they love it. My wife and I have make them quit when they need to go out side to play,do chores,ect.
