Burnout Paradise (Playstation 3)

Excellent game, control is very simple, easy to play, very fun, different types of race, a goal more legal than the other, I recommend

Burnout 3 Takedown is in my top ten, if not top five games of all time. Burnout Dominator was a fantastic game in its own right - but paled in comparison to Takedown.
Similarly, when the Need For Speed series went to free-roaming, I couldn't buy into it.
I'm very glad to say though, that Burnout Paradise is a game I cannot put down! First and foremost Paradise City and the vehicles in the game look stunning, everything looks beautiful. It 'feels' perfect.
Potential gamers who are skeptical, as I initially was, about free-roaming driving games should put those fears aside. Unlike other open world racers.. there is just so much to do in-between the main events in this game that it works. You can sit and spend hours without rest, or pick it up and play in between your favorite tv shows.
Everything from the vehicles and the way they are won, to all the statistics and scoring mechanisms of this game are so solid and well thought out. You will no doubt find 'i wish they did ...' things, but for the most part it will be a result of you wanting even more of the greatness of this game.
In a nutshell - this game is gorgeous to look at. It is fresh and different, yet familiar, and can safely be put in the must-have list for your PS3 collection.

Cars aren't licensed but they all resemble real cars in incredible detail and one can use your imagination to be driving a Mustang etc...

Burnout Paradise is a great game. For one, it can be played in the free-play mode and still be fun because of all of the hidden objectives. There are hundreds of unlockables and hundreds of challenges. This game is also compatible with most steering wheels. I strongly recommend this game.

This is really a great update to the Burnout series. The free roaming around Paradise City is a welcome change. Support from Criterion is unbelievable with free update after free update. Crashes are still capable of invoking that "Owwww" from everyone playing or watching. And the PS3 graphics are amazing.
The only thing keeping it from getting an Excellent rating is the odd color hues that were intentionally put in the game. Things often look greenish and were done that way by the developer for an artistic flair. I don't particularly like it.

Very easy to play online. You can be in an online game in a matter of seconds. Fun cars to drive and huge city to explore.

I'm a long time fan of the burnout series, and I've had my eye on this latest installment of the game for quite a while. Bottom line is, if you liked the other games games, you'll feel right at home with this one. It's a great looking game, and as you'd expect from a burnout game, there's still that amazing sense of speed no matter what car or truck you're driving. The races themselves will take you a little time to adjust to. This time around, the team at EA has placed you in an open city in which all of your races take place. There are no more transparent yellow boundaries to guide you thorough the race, but a gps-like compass with a nav point that you can choose to follow or not. Lots of room for shortcuts this way, but definitely a little disorienting at first. There are a ton of races from what I can tell (though I've only had the game a few days now), so it will keep you busy for a while.
Perhaps the biggest disappointment for me was the exclusion of the crash mode that we knew and loved from the last two burnout games. There's a new mode called showtime where you wreck your car and then steer your bouncing wreck to try and damage the traffic around you and sustain a combo for as long as you can. But no more launching your car off of ridiculous ramps and sitting back to watch the ensuing chaos. This new mode just doesn't do it for me, and it got old pretty quickly.And they got rid of the crashbreaker, the one real contrubution burnout revenge made to the series.
Overall, the game is fun, fundamentally still a burnout game, and it looks great on the ps3. If you get a chance you might download the demo from the PS store, but I really don't think the demo does the game justice, as its too limiting and you don't get a feel for the scope of paradise city from the three or so races they include and the road blocks everywhere that cut off the rest of the city in the demo.

One of the better burnouts, but with a new twist. Huge environment, can be very rewarding if you can get over the fact that there are no checkpoints. Apparaantly lots of downloadable content on the way, which is a huge plus. Extremely fun, definite pick-up for any person who likes racing games or games in general.

This is a great game and I love playing it. Tons of high speed action! I had downloaded the demo version and fell in love with it right away. Being that it was still regular price in the stores, I thought I would try to find it on ebay and buy it for myself as a "father's day present" :)

Besides fighting games, I've always loved racing especially the Burnout series. Much like Gran Turismo, I especially like racing exotic cars. This will probably end up one of my favorite racing games of all time.

Real feel.Clever and simply a lot of fun. On top of that it is also a challenge. The programmers did an amazing job giving the car a positive interactive feel. No delay, no slop. One of my favorite programs.

I bought this game after playing it over a friends house, he had demo version only. This game was actually the catalyst for me buying a PS3. This game rocks. The gameplay is really smooth, the cars respond the way they should depending on if they're heavy, light, racing, tough. The online feature is really fun. Lots of challenges to do, a great place to go and lose yourself for an hour or so while you try taking out other cars. The graphics for this game are really good, lots of backround scenery and the slo-mo crash scenes are fantastic. Really nothing about this game strikes me as a negative. It is a very easy pick up and play game. The races are a little easy to win, just take the other cars down and you'll get your boost refilled, but you can't crash too much. The stunt runs are ok, not my favorite. The Showtime is great to play if you just want to cause mass destruction. I laughed so hard the first time I had to pause it cause I was crying. Good game to own, if you can find it at a good price. Like all PS3 games, I don't intend on spending $60 for a game, $50 is even stretching it now when I can buy it online for $30 or cheaper.

when i bought my ps3, i used ebay to buy some games. But i live in Turkey and shipping fee is too much for us to here. I paid nearly 15-20 dollars for shipping fee as it is mentioned in description but when the package comes to me, it is written 4,40 dollars here. 15 dollars directly goes to the seller unfairly. We pay what the sellers writes there, not the postage company's fee. If you can set some system to fix this, maybe a system from the company linked with ebay to enter the fee for the package. Other than that, ebay is great to use.
