Stoneage Step

This short workout is verrrrry basic and slightly primitive. It's a step back in time in more ways than one. The video was apparently produced before steps were mass marketed. The instructor uses a somewhat crude step made out of unfinished/unpainted particle board. Likewise, the instruction seems to be from the Jane Fonda fitness era. Lots of obscure references like "getting oil into the joints" during the overlong warmup. The brief step section (about 15 minutes) is a little lopsided (you don't do the same movements on both sides of your body) and I found it difficult to raise my heart rate at all. I like the other Buns of Steel step workouts and had high hopes for this one. When I buy something I stubbornly try to find a use for it instead of chalking my purchase up to learning a lesson. But even when I add the mini-step workout (skipping the lame warmup) to another video and put my step on its highest level, I don't feel I'm getting any benefit at all from this video.
