Nora Robert's favorite female hero is back in Haunted in Death, the first short story that begins the Bump in the Night short story collection. Lt. Eve Dallas is all about truth and justice and to her there's no such thing as ghosts or supernatural killers. All murders begin and end with a motive and when a body is discovered in a soon to be renovated building, Eve is determined to prove that live body is responsible. Assisted by her partner Detective Peabody and Roark, Eve's gorgeous and clever husband, Eve uncovers the skeleton of a long dead singer with ties to the recently deceased. Unraveling the mystery of both murders while staying one step ahead of things that are determined to scare Eve away frm the murder scene is classic Nora Roberts writing. This is short story so it does wrap up fairly quickly but you'll really enjoy reading it all the same. A must have addition to any Nora Roberts library.

In Poppy's Coin, author Mary Blayney helps a woman searching to find a way to stay in a country that calls to her soul find a way to belong. With the use of a n antique gold coin, a talented storyteller, a love story set in Regency England, and two adorable orphans, this is a fun story that leaves you smiling at the end.

The Passenger by Ruth Ryan Langan proves that true love never dies. Two people seeking to find a way to their own true selves come together in the wilderness. A man addicted to extreme sports and taking life to the limit meets his match in a lonesome photojournalist looking for the source of ethereal lights over a mystery lake. Discovering the truth about their parents and learning to believe in love as the ultimate source of happiness defines this wonderful short story.

Mellow Lemon Yellow is more than an old song by Donovan, it's the name of Charlotte's imaginary love interest in Mary Kay McComas' wonderful story of the same name. Charlotte had always known she needed help moving on in her life after her parents died. Scared and alone she imagines the perfect man into her life. The lessons she learns from him and about herself help to open herself to real love beyond anything her imagination could have ever created.

All 4 wonderful stories in this anthology will make you feel thrilled, curious, and oh so satisfied when you are done with the book!!
