bullets over broadway
I love the film and so does Woody Allen. He considers it one of his very best efforts, rating it right up there with "Annie Hall." Film has an ingenious plot, fine acting, wonderfully captures theatre people and does so during the golden age of Broadway. Film has a serious question beneath the wonderful comedy elements: what sacrifices are justifiable for great art? It also explores the innate talent for writing as opposed to "serious" writing that is essentially drivel.
