A great book for those just building a new model railroad layout. Although this book was written circa 1979 (I think) it's still a gem. Not much has changed in building layouts except the use of newer materials for laying over plywood. I bought the book because I'm building a new layout and author Linn Westcott is just about tops in his field of model railroading. There are newer books on the subject, which I will also purchase,but I know I'll be referring to this one often.
