How to Build a Bobber on a Budget by Jose De Miguel (2008, Paperback)

I am looking at building my first bike and saw this and decided to get it. It is well written and has a lot of good tips. The author obviously has a lot of experience building bikes, specifically bobbers, and while I'm not sure I will be doing a bobber much of the information is applicable to any bike build. The only problem I have is that for me, personally, there was not as much detail on the actual nuts and bolts technical aspect of building, but I have yet to find a book that satisfies in that respect. Overall I recommend this book if you are thinking about a garage built bike and want to gather some information and ideas before you get started.

Since prior I started working with my bobber project I have buy some book on “how to” and so far this is the best by far. This guy explains you step by step and tips you off on common mistakes!

Other books are written for people who already know how to build a bobber and are some kind of an author ego trip. But this one I will recommend to anyone who is not a professional bobber builder. The average “Joe the Biker”.

After all, if you are a professional, why would you need a book?
