Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Season 1 (DVD, 3-Disc Box Set)

This item was purchased as a collector piece. I have always been a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The item itself is worth what I paid but in cases of purchasing something that the actual picture of the item is not included, you nee dto pay close attention to the details of the item. When I received the collection, the box was in terrible condition. It did state in the auction tha box has slight damagage..Yeah, more like someone stompped on the box and rubbed it all over concrete..In most cases you get a great deal on ebay. My aggravations lately have all come down to my realization that what you see is what you get..Ask for actual pictures or more pictures.

One of the greatest television shows of all time. I just love it.

Joss Whedon, the creator of Buffy, knows exactly how to mix action, humor, love, drama, and suspense all into this show. I've definitely not seen anything like it before, except for Joss' other television shows. It's just not meant for teenagers, it's for people of all ages to enjoy. Everyone is bound to find something they love about it.

am a huge Buffy fan and it all started here! These DVD sets feature special features, also look for the Buffy symbol "B" to access more hidden features on the DVD's. Season one introduces you to all the essential chracters such as Buffy, Giles, Cordelia, Willow, Angel (oh my too hot!!) and Xander (also very hot in the first few seasons, Anya ruined him!) Once you begin watching and catching the storyline and yes, there is a lot of plots and sub-plots, you will become hooked not to mention that things that happen this first season may still be brought back again later in seasons to follow! So pay attention! LOL See the first trials and tribulations of our heroin and the beginning of the Buffy/Angel love affair! This first season is a MUST have....become and new fan, it is not too late to start and see what the rage is all about!

My friends told me that this was the greatest TV show out there and I did not believe them. How could a TV show with the name Buffy the Vampire Slayer be even worth my time to watch?

After the first few episodes I was hooked and had to watch at least 2 episodes a night until I finished the whole season. The show is cleverly written and directed as well as wonderful actors. My mom is even hooked on Buffy now. Who would have thought that a series like this would be so enjoyable to watch!

The greatest show in the world!!!! My all time favorite! This chick is bad ass. I love her. and she is hott. and really sweet! Fall in love with these characters. Action, comedy, adventure, monsters... what more could you ask for

Watch where it all began. I used to watch All My Children and Sarah Michelle Gellar once played the young daughter of main character Eric Kane. She left the show and a few years later she's Buffy the slayer - kicking vampire butt !

Are you kidding?! You are reading a review by someone that has a collection of every single show from all the seasons that this show was on tv! The only shame is that they cancelled the show....that was a sad day for many people.
My opinion is that you should definitely buy this and keep adding to it until you too, have the whole collection!

I was looking for a box set to give to my daughter for Christmas, but I didn't want to spend too much money. I read the description the seller put in: "very good used condition", so I thought, okay why not. The shipping was free and I got the box set for a good price. When it arrived I was very disappointed. The outer box had a garage-sale type sticker on it that looked as if someone had tried to remove it but failed. The back of the outer box was ripped and the edges and corners were very worn. The inside box with the discs was in a little better condition. A little worn, but not too bad. I have not watched the dics to check for damage, however there are light scratches on all three, more on the third disc than the rest. I don't think this can pass as a gift now, but hopefully it will still play so that we can enjoy the series!

If you love Buffy...this video series gives great variety...my complaint...you will want to see more so save your money and be ready to buy the next set!

For anyone who likes Vampires, Buffy the Vampire hunter, and all this supernatural will love this series.

i still have yet to recieve my copy. I sent it back over a month ago cause it was incomplete and have yet to hear back anything.

Dramatic and full of angst. Poor Buffy just can't fight fate but she can fight vampires. Despite her busy schedule she's still manages to fall in love. Watch to find out what transpires between the star-crossed lovers.

My husband and I used to watch this show on television all the time. We both enjoyed it and now we can see it commercial free. This is really good since we tend to get side tracked during commercials.

Buffy is my girlfriend's favorite show, but she lost the first season. Now her collection is complete again. Thanks

This season is the birth (well kinda) of Buffy. It is the first season and as many first seasons go it wasn't excellent. It was okay, but it will never live up to the other seasons.

What makes this sale rather interesting, was the fact that I didn't plan on winning the Buffy season 1 dvd set. I did have an interest in it, however not expecting to win the item. So it wasn't a shock when I recieved a letter from ebay saying sorry you were over bid by someone else.
Later, after the auction had already closed did I get another letter stating that I had won. That was a shock, but in a way a positive shock. I already was a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and didn't own any of the DVD collection so, bidding on the first one was the starting point. Since I had won the auction and it was an item I had my eye on, I didn't mind paying right when I found out.
It didn't take long at all when I recieved them in the mail. Within the week I payed for it to be exact. This Seller is very professional and was quick with shipping my order. I have had some experiances where I've sent the money, yet no item came. So, I have been leary about purchasing from ebay and was half expecting the same treatment. i don't really like the Buffy series because its not my thing but it sure does make a good "gift" for someone else and yeah thats why i bought it.
