The music is alive with emotion and each song tells a story. Whether with a spicy Afro-Cuban beat as in "Ay Candela", or with a more folk arrangement as in "El Carretero" the music will capture you, and make you want to move to it. Every song on this recording is an old traditional favorite like "El Cuarto de Tula" and "Dos Gardenias". Yet each one has been masterfully updated without losing the heart and soul of the original. Fabulous!

I love the Cd from start to finish, there is no need to hit the skip button. I consider this Cd one of a few that I can say is a classic and a must have! Quality is great as well as the quantity with 14 must have tracks once again this is a must buy!

It's a good CD. I watched the documentary with a friend of mine. We liked the music. He mentioned he was going to get the CD someday. So when his birthday came, I decided to find it for him. This was a new copy and it came fast and was as promised.

Buena Vista Social Club - CDThis CD is the soundtrack to the DVD of the same name. As a lifelong musician, the music on this CD reflects a wonderful time and sound of the individuals interviewed in the DVD documentary. This music is very important to continue to enjoy this bygone time in Cuban history.

Ry Cooder Buena Vista Social Club Soundtrack CD
) With this recording, legendary shaman Ry Cooder introduced the world to a treasure of under-appreciated artists. He produced a statement so rich and sanguine that an instant classic was brought to the world.
Effortlessly melding with this sampling of madre tierra soy de ti evocateurs, Ry Cooder trancends musicianship with characteristic sincerity. The sound is not out of this world, rather, it emanates from the essence life to seat todo del mundo, alongside any critical recording.
Ibrahim Ferrer, Ruben Gonzalez and Omara Portuondo are the now obvious visibility beneficiaries however this pallet is chocked too full with virtuoso to stop there. This sugar cane husk pinyata contains an infantecimal aural yield.
I would like to list every artist and recount every inflection of every note but that is for you to discover. If more inkling is needed to convince you of the nesecity of ingesting this masterpiece, you are, respectfully, in reticence. This has from 1997 forth, been a Getz-Gilberto-esque no-brainer.
Through the musical documentary that is Buena Vista, Mr. Cooder managed to exponentially increase the prospects of a deserving music sect. Perhaps it takes a humble music genius to know a humble music genus.
