Buckethead - Secret Recipe (DVD, 2006, 2-Disc Set)

I'm a little bit obsessed at times with the enigma that is Buckethead and I was excited for this release, but I have to rate it 4 out of 5 because of the lack of live performances on it. I love the packaging and the reading material probably makes up for almost all of the content that isn't on the DVD. The home footage and behind the scenes stuff is very entertaining for a lazy night on the couch with nothing to do. I cracked up quite a few times at the nonsensical behavior of Buckethead and friends, but I can't see myself watching this material more than once or maybe twice if it's needed. There are tons of little side menus that don't go anywhere, but they're a neat little addition, especially since most DVDs don't have these little blurbs of humor hidden away. I recommend this for the biggest Buckethead fans only.

I bought this to watch and learn more about one of the greatest Guitarist of All Time!!! He can play every style, seen him play Guitar,Bass,Banjo,Piano and he Is a Mystery. I Pray That God Blesses Buckethead ( Brian Carroll) as He has Blessed us with his Greatness... If you want to find out more about Big B then I recommed this as it is fun and Insite. I was really pleased with the content of the Buckethead "Secret Recipe" 2 DVD set. You get a LOT of material here... Solo videos, video of him with Bootsy, Praxis (some beautiful melodic playing), a live show DVD, lots of clips from home in full shred mode... There is a TON here. The only reason I didn't rate this as excellent is the DVD menu is VERY difficult to get around. Let me put it this way, the last time I popped it in I could NOT find the live material on the first disc... It is quite an intricate menu, and entertaining at first but then it is just difficult. The material here however, when you find it, is amazing and a must for any lover of the guitar.

Overall this DVD is amazing! with two discs of great buckethead action you get 2 full concerts, music videos and home movies buckethead did over the years. even if your just a devoted guitar player this dvd is for you!

If you are a buckethead fan or just curious to know more about this unbelievably unique character then you should purchase this dvd. Loaded with so much bucket weirdness youll be a buckethead fan for life!!!! Live shows and behind the scenes moments-youll laugh your butt off(and maybe a little bewilderment)-There are a few diffrent buckethead dvds out there, and I have purchased them all. Bucketheads secret recipe is by far the best one out of them all.

I never recieved it because it was discontinued. So I ordered it from Amazon.com instead. It's a reallty cool DVD.

Secret Recipe is a must have for any Buckethead fan; newbie or veteran. Contains alot of back history of the BH story. It has clips of old home movies, videos, a discography that is quite extensive, old unreleased songs, 2 full "bootleg" concerts, art, photos, gory head stumps, and lots of headcheese, Chicago style. Interactive menus make finding everything a pure wonderland of joy. Hours of fun and highly rewatchable.

Orginally only available concerts, this well presented DVD provides the casual and megafans with an immense amount of Buckethead information. With the genius menu display filled with plenty of easter eggs, early demo tracks and music videos, illustrated disocgraphy and videos of Buckethead and other members of the Deli Creeps, this dvd is finished perfectly with the full official video of a legendary Boston show from 2004 on a second disc. Anyone interested in Buckethead should no doubt buy this dvd.

What is there to say it Buckethead crazy weird and great. Not for everyone. Has great vids of younger Bucket for all to see tons of pics and everything you could need.

Ce DVD comporte plusieurs extraits de concerts couvrant presque toute la carrière de Buckethead. Il comporte des éléments intéressants: séquences diverses des délires de Buckethead, concerts avec différentes formation. Mais ce DVD souffre de grosses lacunes: un menu ludique, mais fouillis et pas toujours évident à manipuler, des extraits de concerts qui restent très amateurs dans leur qualité, même si certain son plus pro visuellement, la prise de son reste très mauvaise et ne rend pas hommage à Buckethead.
En résumé ça aurait pu être le DVD ultime si il avait comporté des concerts de meilleur qualité!Pour les fans...

My husband is the extreme introvert... he purchased the Buckethead dvd's loved them so much he purchased concert tickets for his brother, friends & himself... they came home so impressed they are ready for the next concert. To some this isn't anything to brag about but my husband is the kind of man that doesn't go anywhere... he goes to work & home a true family man. He thinks this guy is amazing... and drove hours just to see him. Thanks for getting him out of his shell… he is already talking about driving 4 hours to the next concert!

Boring. The man can play guitar like a bleedind rooster on heroine getting a blowjob under the hot sun, but the dvd is just plain boring.

it was awesome I loved everything about it we watched it over and over again it was a christmas gift for my boyfriend and he said it was the best gift he got!

Well the shipping was quite fast and stuff and its a good product and im stoked i got it cuz buckethead is bad ass.

This DVD is pretty sweet. If you know anything about Buckethead then you will most likely enjoy it. There are a lot of very strange things in here and many talented areas as well. I bought this dvd after seeing Bucket live. I decided I needed the dvd just to try to show others the experiece because I couldn't explain it very well. The only gripe I have is that the menu navigation is not that of a typical concert or movie dvd. You really have to search to get to the good stuff.

pure bucket, year by year of his poultry experament. perfect biografy of how a god is born. though i have to say, there is nothing like a live concert. this is the best thing to get you by inbetween showz.

Buckethead rules and this dvd proves it. The live show is insane and the videos are killer. If you like buckethead or primus you must own this dvd.
