Toddlers resist a lot of things - brushing their teeth being one prime example! You can get the brush based off their favorite character and the matching toothpaste with attractive fruit flavors, but alas, many parents still find themselves of the losing side of a battle.
Enter this fun book to encourage toddlers to learn more about brushing their teeth, whilst also giving them plenty too see and do!
Written by Leslie McGuire, this is a short book will simple text that always ends by encouraging the reader to brush: "Bears brush up and down. Shouldn't you". This simple and repetitive text will draw in the younger reader that prefers familiar concepts and words!!
On each page, there is an activity to do such as a tab to pull that activates the toothbrush in the bears mouth or the floss you can use to clean the shark's teeth! On the final page is a little mirror so your toddler can see their own gleaming smile!
Dental hygiene is not the most riveting subject, yet this book manages to turn it into a fun lesson, that might just encourage your child to get excited about brushing!! The only thing that would make it better, is perhaps having a child brushing their teeth on the last page to give your toddler a better point of reference!
