I love the movie. It's an instant classic. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I love movies that have something different about them, but this movie was insanely boring. I felt I totally got cheated out of a few hours of my life. I know people like this movie, but I'm not sure why. Yes, the visuals were stunning, but where was the backbone? This movie blew.

While Brotherhood of the Wolf may be lacking in plot, the cinematography, costumes and choreography are not to be missed. With the proper funding and direction, this could have been a great movie. Do take time to see it.

With just a bif of fiction, it creates a reality somewhere in space and time a couple hundred years ago. An excellent film, probably not the best director, and may be not the best of plots... but it is a science fiction from the past, kind of what fairy tales are from.

I could wach it again, and i've seen it about 5 times already (including at the movies)

I heard of this movie from a friend, and decided to buy it. After watching it, I have found myself lured into a place of darkness with that glimpse of light and hope. The one character (the Indian) was quite talented. His fight techniques were brilliant and applauded. The creature was not too realistic. They could have done better with it. Overall, very enjoyable and glad to have it in my movie library.

good picture quality. i was afraid of disc problems because the DVD case wasn't sealed, but everything worked fine, and there weren't any scratches on the DVD.

This is the most boring movie I have ever seen in my life...this is the only movie that while I was watching it, I actually got up off of the sofa to see if I had any dishes that I could wash! This statement is not meant to be a joke! I actually started looking around the house while the movie was playing, and was more interested in whether or not I had dishes in the sink from lunch that might need to be washed than what was going on in the movie...while the movie was still playing! Fortunately, there WERE dishes in the sink that I could wash...which I did, while the movie was still monotonously droning on...and on...After the dishes were washed, I went back to the sofa...tried yelling at the movie for something...anything...to happen...(nothing really did)...and started looking at the living room table to look over the magazines that I have there to see if I had not read any of them yet...(again, the movie is still playing at this time...),upon glancing at the table, I saw the remote for the DVD player...and a thought occurred to me which had never occurred to me before....(wait a minute...there is always a choice in the DVD menu to choose which chapter to go to! Is it possible that while the movie is playing that I can skip to the next Chapter of the movie?) Fortunately for me...yes! My remote does in fact have a "skip chapter" button! (Yeah!) Again, this is not a joke, this is exactly what I was doing. I started skipping chapters! I would press the skip/next chapter button...count out 30 seconds, and if nothing interesting had happened, I would press the skip/next chapter button again until I saw something interesting happen. If I saw anything interesting at all withing 30 seconds of skip chapter, I would back up to the previous chapter and let it play through until the interesting scene happened! ATTENTION PEOPLE THAT HAVEN'T SEEN THIS MOVIE YET BUT MIGHT WANT TO...I purchased this movie because of three reasons...(1) The title...The Brotherhood of the Wolf?...I actually like wolves, I think that they are great animals, so there is one plus for buying this movie! (2) This might end up being a werewolf story! Again, another bonus for me, I thing werewolf stories are pretty cool...(depending upon the movie...and the producer...and...and...) (3) This movie has Monica Belluci in it! I think that Monica Belluci is very beautiful, and upon seeing an article from Maxim magazine (I believe) that had a very beautiful picture of her in this movie in the article...(No...nothing naked!), this was the last and final reason that I wanted to purchase this movie. So...let's cover what I was looking forward to, (1) The wolves...um...you'll see them for about a total of 10-15 minutes of this 2 hour and 24 minute movie. (2) A possible werewolf story...um...no...the "beast" in this story is...a...um...lion(?) taken from Africa, given some type of...um...twig or tree branch armor...trained to kill innocent people, and can somehow be "magically" (I guess) electrified! I'm not going to watch this movie again to try to figure this one out! And(3)...Monica...yes, she is hot, she does appear nude (for a total of 1 minute divided into two different scenes, which does not leave the other 2 hours and 23 minutes worth watching, and the believeability of this movie is crap! One of the heroes is an American Indian, in 16th/17th century France, that is a martial arts expert, as is all the French people he fights! It just gets worse!!!

French martial arts with Mark Decascos. What more needs to be said? Nothing, but this needs to be at least 100 letters long, so I'm still typing.

great cinematography. love the story line. if you like werewolves, and a little bit of martial arts, this is fabulous movie to watch.

I bought this movie because my boyfriend had been talking about how much he wanted to watch it and we couldn't find it ANYWHERE - to buy or rent. The seller offered an appropriate price (base and shipping). The movie arrived at my house before another purchase I had made a few days earlier. Excellent movie too, by the way.

MY SEXY FRIEND AND MYSELF WATCHED THIS LAST WEEK. IT WAS VERY ENTERTAINING AND ACTION-PACKED. I WOULD RECOMMEND ADULTS VIEW THIS MOVIE, BUT NOT CHILDREN. IT'S A PERIOD PIECE WHICH I DON'T USUALLY LIKE, BUT MY FRIEND ENJOYED IT, SO I BOUGHT IT FOR US TO WATCH TOGETHER. HE SEEMED TO LIKE IT EVEN MORE THEN HE DID BEFORE. GREAT MOVIE WOULD WATCH AGAIN ANYTIME.

I love this movie. I saw it in the theater and enjoyed how artistically it was done. It takes place in 18th century France, but the effects and the action sequences are very modern. It blends action and suspense with drama. Who would think that you were going to see kung fu in a movie about 18th century wolf-type monsters?

The movie is in French, but has an English dubbed version on the DVD if I'm feeling too lazy to read. This DVD is out of print, so I was especially glad to find it on eBay. I had been hunting for it for some time.

WHEN I FIRST SAW THIS MOVIE THE ONLY I DISLIKE IS THAT I HAD TO READ AND THE WOMA IN THE THEATER WITH THE HAT WOULD NOT LOWER HERSELF IN THYE SEAT. BUT THE FIGHTING SCENE ARE GREAT. IT IS ABOUT A CULT MADE UP OF THE RICH WHO PRY ON ITS PEOPLE BY USING A BEAST THAT IS A LION THAT ONE OF THEM BROUGHT BACK FROM AFRICA WHEN IT WAS A PUP. THE TIME FRAME MAY 1700 OR 1800 IN FRANCE.

Great movie for it's time. This pre-dates the Matrix and has excellent martial arts scenes for its time.

I loved this movie. The movie is extremely entertaining. The characters are witty, the story is refreshing, and the martial arts is great.

Sprawling, wild journey into the supernatural in the Languedoc. Martial arts, sex, violence, monsters, and 18th-century rococo ornamentation and style. WARNING: Try to avoid the three-disc Canadian NTSC edition unless you're a serious completist. While it has a ton of extras, the picture quality of the feature itself looks washed-out and bland as a result, and the brilliant splash of colors was one of the great selling points of the original film.

I am disgusted with Ebay after my last purchase. I ordered this DVD over a month ago and it still has yet to arrive. I have tried to contact the seller multiple times to no avail and Ebay's customer service is no where to be found. I paid for the item and that was the last time I heard anything from anyone. I will never shop at ebay again. Be careful and investigate your next purchase through ebay and make sure you are able to get in touch with the seller first because Ebay won't do anything to help you out.

Awesome movie love the plot and the special effects. Even my girlfriend loved it. Truely amazing movie!

I loved the price first, cheap shipping too. So many times sellers try to proffit by charging outragous shipping and hope buyers don't notice. The first reason most choose ebay is price.

I got this movie, because is a great example of what happens when different genres are throw in the mix, martial arts, drama, romance, special effects, great acting, superb directing. This movie makes you forget the world out there, making you care and watch the developement of the characters... Please buy or rent this movie, and you like me, will always remember what movies are made for, be safe and good day.
