Brother P-Touch® QL-500 Label Printer

This thermal label printer is pretty good for someone who sells less than 20 items per day (which is what I do). It is very fast and pretty easy to setup. The quality of the label is good and it works with paypal. If you shop around you can get a continueous paper roll (DK-2205) for around 25 bucks and that would produce around 225 labels using paypal settings. That's less than what some inkjet cartridges cost, and you wouldn't get anywhere near 225 labels per cartridge. You do the math. The only drawback is having to manually push a lever to cut each label from the roll. But, like I said, I sell less than 20 items per day, so to me it's no big deal. I like this printer.

Hooked up and printed labels with no problems. Great little printer. Everyone that does a lot of shipping should have one.

Although this is an older model, it performs flawlessly. I have one at work and was so impressed I purchased one for home.

Only negative is the cost of the tapes. If you get them on Ebay you'll do OK retail they are a killer.

Sorry, not sure why but printer never worked for me. Was sold as is, so I am going to try and get support from Brother. Beware of "AS IS" it has happened to me twice the items were not in working order.

Easy to use. Professional quality labels. Just type in the text. Click on print and Presto!!! A professional, readable label. Text works just like word so you can change fonts, bold, italics, underline, type size, center on label, top, bottom. You name it. This is one of those products that if you know about it you have one.

I purchased this printer about 3 years ago. I've had it hooked up here since that time. I've used it for all kinds of things. My wife really likes using it to.

Like: Excellent quality, a real champ, I've never had problems.
Love: Easy to use.

Dislike: When others use it, they don't always realize there is a cutter on it. Not really the fault of the printer though.

Printer works good but the label paper is way to expensive. I just replaced my QL-500 with a Zebra LP 2844. For Paypal USPS shipping labels the QL-500 cost about .07/label, the Zebra cost about .02/label. Quite a difference when you printing 75 shipping label a day.

First I am told I won .... pay for it ... money taken out of my account .... than I am told ... oh no .... it was a mistake .... and money is put back in my account .... which is all fine ... but I really wanted the item ... and seeing that the sell is till selling the same item I would of thought it would have made more since to satify the customer.

The label program that comes with it is a bit complicated to get used to. However, using it to print labels from paypal is so simple and fast!!! You wont regret purchasing the label maker. In addition, you can buy generic label rolls instead of the brand name and save a lot of $$$.

This is an extremely handy and efficient device. For a home office or business this label printer is wonderful. Printing on envelopes seems to be a more "professional" approach, but the hassle and expense of lost time fooling with the affordable printers and software became too extreme. The software for this little baby is on the verge of being overloaded with options. But it will do sooooo much that it just isn't fair to complain about getting "too much". You can also buy rolls of uncut label paper and print out long banner labels. You can put a graphic, logos, photos, clip art, etc. on your labels. You can print 1 or 1001 of the same label or use a data base and do a merge. And to top it all off you do not ever have to buy any ink!!! It uses thermal technology and produces an excellent quality! It is quick, very quick. Very efficient. And takes up about 48sq inches of space (apx 6" X 8"). It is so neat I have to force myself not to play with it just to see it work.

Greatest machine I have ever purchased. Works as described. So much easier than going to MS Word and going through all the create a label business. You type in address and type one or more labels. Just sooooo fast.

I brought this printer because I need a simple and quick way to print my eBay shipment labels. After research of marks and models i found this printer has all the specifications i was lucking for and it has the best price in the market.
