This is a nice multi function printer for most office uses. The only thing that I have noticed is that the scanner doesn't work all the time. This is definitely a good buy though if you are not planning on using the scanner.

) I didn't realize this until my neighbor showed me: scanners are software controlled, not by the hardware buttons on the machine/printer. I have Brother MFC scanners which work flawlessly with Adobe Acrobat 6 Professional or Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional. (The advantage to 8 Professional is that it has Bates numbering capabilities.) Because of the extended toner and drum life of Brother machines, and, the availability of them on eBay, I have purchased a number of MFCs lasers for home and office. However, for scanning more than 20-25 pages, I use a professional office scanner/copier, i.e a Ricoh.
