Brother MFC-665CW All-In-One InkJet Printer

Overall this is a great inkjet machine. The fax works great as does the auto document feeder. The phone handset isn't necessary for me but can be nice to have sometimes. The message center is decent but the speaker quality on the machine drags it down. The three cartridge color ink system is nice, this way you don't have to replace the entire cartridge if you're only out of one color. Photo paper bypass tray is great to have, I've used this machine for photos and it works just fine. The print speed and wireless are definetly sub par. The speed doesn't come close to 25ppm but the quality is there. The wireless is a pain in the neck to set up. Once it's up and running the convinience of wireless is unmatched. The scanner quality is decent the reds and blues are a little yellowish. I would stick to HP for inkjet but brother still has some of the best laser machines out there. If you have the patience for tedious set ups and slower speeds go ahead with this machine, but if not stick with someone else.

I really like the brother product line, when their warranty covers 1 year... (with most items the amount of time it covers, they rarely make it too much longer than that time frame- usually lasting just beyond the warranty.) My last 2 brother brand printers lasted about 3 years each, I had the brother 440CN - before my current purchase and the other one similar to it before it... then they both had the same problem, the ink... it would not read that there was a cartridge _WEIRD_ but it took lots of abuse, I make personalized children's coloring books, and I make alot of them... meaning I was well over the 5,000 per year paper limit. As far as I am concerned for the amount of money spent and the time they last I personally can not expect more!! And, compared to major brand name machines, the ink is relatively cheap. And you do not have to replace all the colors at once ONLY the color that is empty (thus once again saving you money) Overall for the price and the amount of time they last I consider this a good buy!

Over the years I have had many Printers and Scanners, This is the first All-in-One by Brother all I half to say is were have it been, I have been useing a HP Printer with a Epson Scanner for some time well the printer gave up the goat and went south, This Brother MFC-665CW is wonderfull so easy to set up and real easy to use, Every thing about this unit is great from the ease of loading the paper to view what is going on when it is in use, I just may get one more for a back up for years down the road because I think this unit will be working for a long time Thank You.>> Harold Diehl {On E-bay @ POLICE6}

I took a chance and bought this printer when I got it the seller sent it next day air for me at a really good fee and it was just like a brand new one I bought at a computer store but half the price just wish I had found this one first and I hope to deal with the seller again an bye again
