I needed a local printer for my office. I love the fact that it is a multi-function unit. I can scan, fax, or copy with this printer.
It prints with much needed quality.
Occassionally, it misfeeds a sheet of paper, but that may just be that I overload the paper.
Finally, Ibought this because of the price. It was very reasonable.

I bought a few of these printers for resale on eBay, and when my ancient HP LaserJet 4L decided to finally bite the dust, I opened up one of them to use as a temporary fix. Long story short, I'm keeping it around for when I need color prints and to scan or fax documents.
The number one thing this printer has going for it is overall price. The unit itself is cheap, and with the ink being non-chipped, it is possible to refill and replace them cheaply.
After an incident with me refilling an HP cartridge a few years ago, I've been taking the generic ink route. I buy my ink from 123inkjets.com, where if you sign up for the newsletter, they send 28% coupons all of the time. With these, it is possible to get new ink for about $1.50 each.
I've always said that laser printers yield higher quality, and while this still holds true, ink is looking better every year.

I like that it's multi funtional and the print outs don't take up additonal space, but lay right onto of the paper tray.
I don't like that the overall system is larger than a regular printer so it doesn't fit in small spaces.
I bought it because with my ebay store and suppliers, I fax a lot of orders and it was easier to send faxes from home, then from the library or work fax machine.

I LOVED the price of this machine, it was only $49.99 after stapels easy rebate, so this is maily why I got it. My old multi function went caput after 5 yrs so I needed a cheap home office replacement... I LOVED the indiviual ink carts as this is a BIG plus, so NO MORE WASTED INK :) ... Its a great little machine, only thing I had a bit of time to work with was figuring out the fax feature, but after the first day or so I got the hang of how to operate it... Great machine, great price... 100% economical home office printer/scanner/fax/copier

We purchased this product for our business, first for the fax and then the scanner mode. What made us purchase this model was the cost of the cartridges. Most people don't take into the consideration of how much they print and what the cost of printer cartridges cost, it can easily cost more then the printer maintence.

I bought this printer to scan documents and have the option of a printer/fax machine also. Seems to work OK. I scan many documents into my computer to email them to my home office. The ink use seems to be an issue, I think when you dont print as many documents the ink dries up, so you still have to change the cartridges, and they are damned expensive!! The print quality is very good. It also makes decent copies. I would reccomend looking at other printers in comparison. The price was right, so I bought it.

Ok all-in-one. This is the third we have gotten as have worn out one. Seems to use alot of colored ink even though it is only recieving b/w faxes mostly. It also quits printing b/w faxes and stores to memory if one of the color inks is empty? Ink is expensive as all ink-jets are but the good news is these cartridges can be refilled really easy, cheaply and need no special resets to work. My wife likes the foot-print as to the flat ones. A flat one for scanning small stuff without taping it to another piece of paper would be nice.

Have had several brother printers and fax machines - All have given great service. This is a ink jet printer - scanner - fax machine. works great only thing I don't like is you can't use photo or thick paper in it. other wise it is a good machine.

i am a very dissatisfied customer, in the begining i had made a mistake and purchased the wrong printer,i was actually looking for a flatbed printer. i told the seller i made a mistake in purchasing the wrong printer and if i may purchase another kind so i will send this one back. so i contacted fedx of the matter, they informed me it was already sent back to the seller. when i contacted the seller, he claimed her never recieved the printer. the problem was it was sent to the wrong address and someone signed for it. now i got to go through the trouble of having fedx track that printer so that i may get my money back on my credit card. i do apologize but after this investigation is completed, i will suspend my account from ebay and i will not purchase any thing else in the future.

Bought originally for compact size and great price, $59 after rebate. Works great, I use it with a printserver for a home office, cheap ink now purchased thru ebay further reduces cost per page. Replaced HP officejet, Brother has clearer print, and individual ink cartridges are a plus. Lightning surge killed last one, I'm buying another via ebay of course- newer versions have smaller ink catridges, so I'm sticking with the MFC_3240c.

I love this printer. I use it for home and for work. Faxes, Printing, Coping. I use it daily. The ink is pricey, but I get the ink form Ebay know. So I save alot of money that way. The price of the printer is even better cant beat that.

i thought the item was a good choice to buy cause i have used this brand before,but this item was broke when i got it and still trying to find a repair company to fix it dont want to waste the money i spent on it so now where still looking for a repair shop

Good deal for a used productI was amased about the price. Although it was a used item, it works very well. The seller was very honest and clear with the description and showed true enterpreneurship in his communication. My previous experiences with brother printers were horrific but this one works well.
