Brother by Cry Of Love (CD, May-1993, Columbia USA)

This is a cd that my other half has been searching for endlessly. After several days listening to the cd, I agree. The music is stripped to the very core of what's important, the instruments. These guys were great because they were talented, not because an engineer made them sound good. The lead singer's voice is incredible, the bassist and drummer are a solid backbone, and the guitarist doesn't feel the need to show off. This is a must have for music afficionados.

Though the band didn't catch on, or wasn't able to keep producing records, it offered a unique melodic guitar-filled southern rock flavor that was it's own. Reminiscent of early Lynard Skynard and Blackfoot, the guitars are very tastefully blended with a very solid rhythm section. Unique chord structures throughout maintain a very unique, original feel, yet maintain solid respect for the roots of southern/classic rock. Hope to hear from them again

thanks OpryGurl for the Cry of Love CD. Had it on tape 15 years ago and never thought I'd own it again. Excellent condition and awesome memories relived. Jamming it now with a Klipsche 12 inch sub and a pair of 12 inch Cerwin Vegas! Saw them live once and they kicked ass! Once again thanx, sweetie! U R da BOMB! P.S. This was my first buy on e-bay. truly excellent cd (a pity it wasn't issued on vinyl format) clearly inspired by southern rock with a touch of soul and a bit of sensuality. not a classic, but a record that a serious collector must have!

Awesome album. If you like guitar driven Southern Rock, look no further. Audley Freed is an awesome guitarist, and the whole band seems to be at the top of their game.

If you like Cry of Love then you will like this cd. Its typical sounding Cry of Love music through and through the entire cd.

One of my all time favorites. Every song is great. I wish this band had followed up better, but their debut would be hard to top.

I liked the fast service and I got this for my dad. He has been trying to get a hold of old cds that you can't get in stores anymore. He likes that kind of music.

I love this band. I felt the southern sound was awesome and it really is too bad that this band isn't heard of anymore. I accidentaly came across this band and I have to say it was worth it! Great addition to any rockers collection!

I was drinking with a buddy and he broke this out. I had forgotten how awesome Audley Freed's guitar work was, so I went to Ebay to purchase this out of print gem.
