Brother Bear (DVD, 2004, 2-Disc Special Edition)

The movie itself is a great movie and fun to watch, but the best part is watching the moose tell the story. It is set like Mystery Theater 3000 and you watch the whole movie again with the moose narrating and telling about each one of the parts. It is totally different and a ton of fun!

I am in fifth- grade and I didn't like it very much. So that is why I would recommend this for a 7 year-old & under.

We rented this movie for our 3 year-old daughter, who loved it immediately and watched it over and over again. I thought the story might be frightening for a young child because it involves the deaths of a brother and a mother. However, these characters are seen later in the "spirit world". There are lots of funny parts and some action scenes that may be a bit scary.

Overall, a good Disney movie but one involving themes such as death and revenge which may be difficult for young viewers to understand and process.

I have owned a copy of this movie previously and my kids watched so much that i had to get another. The movie has a great story to it and a good lesson to learn.

I LOVE Brother Bear!!^_^ This is a most EXCELLENT movie from Walt Disney, and clearly one of their best. Wonderful lessons in it, and BEAUTIFUL songs and music! I just wish that the climax in which Kenai changes back was a little bit longer and more in details, but still, it is very SATISFYING and NICE!!^_^ I truly love this movie, and it deserves to be one of the best ever!!^^

This is a movie about loving all things created on our earth, the brotherhood (and friendship and love) between different animals, and the importance of understanding and accepting different people and animals. Really strong lessons in this beautiful movie, and the 2-disc special edition is worth your every cent! It has lots of features and 2 (I think) fun (if not adventurous^^) games, interesting facts, and lots of behind-the-scenes! I really love this movie!!

I enjoyed watching this movie with my children. It was highly dramatic, funny, and it made complex themes like death and the afterlife, responsibility and consequences, racism and dogma, hatred and revenge, palatable at a child's level of understanding. my children have watched this movie over and over and I think it wonderful.

We loved the entore movie. I bought it for my son, but he ended up getting everyone in the family to watch it. Me, my sister, parents, even my grandparents! EVERYONE absolutely LOVED it! He watches it over and over and just runs around the house singing the songs and talking out the parts and has us doing the same thing with him.

This is an Excellent movie. There is something fo rthe whole family to enjoy. It is a great family movie night type of movie. I really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to anyone.

I love the animation and the story of it all. I love the songs/music! The bears are so cute and funny! I hate that its a tear jerker movie but def a great movie in all! Fun for the whole family!! =)

There is so much to gain about the value of putting a friend's needs first, as well as the value of true friendship. It was so good for the entire family; teaching the children and a reminder for the parents of the value of unconditional love. I strongly recommend this movie.

The kids loved it. Kept their attention for the whole movie.

This is a great movie for the kids. Wonderful story, all around great movie. Highly recommend adding this movie to your collection.

Koda was a great bear cub. Liked how Kenai learned about responsibility and being a real brother. Excellent kid's movie.

My hole family loves this movie! We named our dog after the little bear. Its fun for everyone. It teachers good family vules.

Brother Bear is an excellent movie for the whole family to watch together. The lesson about respecting others and caring for one another is a wonderful lesson to teach children. Also, the characters are easy to empathize with. It teaches children and their families about what hatred of others can do to a person or a whole group of people, but in the end the lesson of love wins out. Teaching children to love people and not to hate is easier by using this movie. Over all I give this movie two thumbs up. The animation and music are wonderful, and my children love to watch this movie several times over!!!!

My granddaughter and I LOVED the Brother Bear movie I bought!! I never saw her laugh so much she loved that the animals could talk and sing. She loved it so much she was never still. She had to dance and sing with it!!! We sat and watched it through twice. We can't wait to get Brother Bear II to watch.

Brother Bear is an excellent film. It's animation is flawless and the music is catchy. It teaches the lesson of learning to keep one's perspective open to views and individuals who are different than you and that you will not be able to understand what an individual is experiencing until you walk a mile in their shoes. Koda teaches his new "brother" Kenia what it is like to be a bear and that they have emotions as well; that just because they are different doesn't make them less real. In other words, don't fear the unknown to the point of it turning you to anger and hatred. Learn first before judging.

Very few scratches on one of the CD's. Everything else is great almost like a new DVD. Recieved very fast.

This Item was purchased for my Grandchildren. It worked good and they are very pleased with it. I am sorry it took so long to respond, but this was a Christmas gift and I forgot to respond after Christmas.
