Movie Description
The Brooklyn Tabernacle Singers are a large, 285-voice ensemble who have been performing together since the early 1980s. This unusual performance gave the Singers a chance to spread the word of God to the inmates of Angola Prison, which is part of the Louisiana State Penitentiary. Angola is a maximum security facility that houses some of the most dangerous prisoners in America. This performance formed part of a faith-based educational program that has greatly reduced the number of violent outbursts in the facility. The songs in THE MIRACLE OF HOPE are interspersed with interviews from various wardens and prisoners from Angola.
