Synopsis
The first in indie book publisher Akashic's successful noir series, BROOKLYN NOIR was the brainchild of Tim McLoughlin, a Brooklyn writer who was working as a clerk in the Kings County Supreme Court when he had the idea for compiling short crime and mystery stories set in Brooklyn. The result, which includes fiction from a local bartender and native writer Pete Hamill, among others, is a wonderfully diverse and dark ode to New York's beloved borough.
