Britax Regent - Onyx Booster Car Seat

This is the second britax regent our family has purchased. This seat is easy to install but is rather large. The sides on the seat are not too high so our son can easily crawl in on his own from the side (this is plus if you have two babies). It intalls very securly using the latch systems in our car and truck. I would recommend this seat to anyone with a growing 3 to 5 year old

Very easy to install. OUr 3-year old son has ample room and will continue to have a comfortable seat for years. High safety ratings too!!

I like the Regent because it allows my 5 year old to still be in the 4 point harness and have the head protection that Britax uses in it's car seats. The Regent also sits lower in the car, so it is easier for my child to climb in on her own.

The Regent is big and heavy, so it is not a seat that you would want to pop in and out of the car too often.

I love the booster seat. I purchased this because of the safety features. It is the only booster like it out there. The only down side is that it is big and bulky. You will not be moving this seat from car to car. I will keep this in our main car and have a separate booster for our other car. My son loves it and says it is very comfortable. I would recommend this product to anyone searching for a booster.

As I tell my 2 children, you have to take steps to stay safe the car every single time you ride because you can't control what other drivers may do.

With that said, it is so important to keep children in a 5 pt harness for as along as possible. In crash tests, children in a 5pt fair better than those in boosters. Children who are thin or have medical conditions (like my son), it becaomes even more important to protect those fragile bodies.)

This seat has a higher weight limit, is fairly easy to install (read the directions FIRST) and has plenty of comfortable safety features. Britax performs rigorous safety tests on their items, is excellent about sending recall or safety information (PLEASE ALWAYS REGISTER YOU CARSEATS) and ordering replacement parts from their website is an added plus.

If you are looking for a seat with a higher weight limit, easy to use and comfortable for your child, you won't be disappointed with this seat.

One more piece of advice...make sure the carseat fits before you buy it. Places like Babies R US allow you to take the floor model out to your car to see if it will fit before you purchase it.

This car seat is wonderful. We wanted something for our five-year-old that would allow us to keep her in a car seat until she is seven or so. We think they are so much safer than booster seats. This seat fits the bill. It goes up to 85 lbs, looks great, and my daughter thinks it is really comfortable. She can easily sleep in it too. It is a large seat, so you will have to make sure it will fit in your car. It is expensive compared to a booster seat, but when it comes to protecting our daughter's life - it was easy for us.

We have this seat in the Cougar, Olivia, and 2 in the Classic patterns and it is the best seat out there. I feel so much better knowing that my 5 yr old can still be in the 5 pt harness and the kids love the fun patterns and how comfortable they are. Also easy to install and use which is great for a busy mom of 3.

After much research and the suggestion of our pediatrician, we decided to buy the Regent car seat. It is roomy enough to give our child plenty of room to grow, but gives the support of the 5 point harness. It is comfortable for naps, too!
