Different than expected, but liked what I found. Expecting just decorating ideas, was pleased to find reciepes also. Enjoyed everything in the book.

A wonderful additional narrative to Bella Tuscany and Under the Tuscan Sun. This book is a continuation of the two stories listed above. Filled with beautiful photos and wonderful recipes - A must have!

Bella Tuscany!!First off, just the title of this book is inticing. This book gives articulate detail into the life in tuscany. The pages are filled with recipes, quotes, pictures, and traditions of the italian life. As you flip through each page,you feel as if you are getting closer and closer to Bramasole. From Bramare-to yearn for, and Sole- the sun... This book makes you yearn to bask in the warmth of the tuscan sun, sip sweet wine on the terrace, and speak italian with your neighbors. All in all, this book is quite the jewel! I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to bring a little bit of tuscany into their home!

Bringing Tuscany Home by Ed & Frances MayesHaving read, "Under the Tuscan Sun" and "Bella Tuscany", I decided I wanted to see the real Bramasole villa that the Mayes have so triumphantly restored and have lived in many years. Frances Mayes writes so discriptedly of the house, the land, the customs, and the Italian people; I just had to have more of the views of Tuscany. If you saw the movie, "Under the Tuscan Sun" you saw a great deal of Tuscany. The book, however, is not the movie, that is pure Hollywood. This book "Bringing Tuscany Home", shows in full splender, Bramasole, the San Francisco digs of the Mayes, along with more insight and recipes of Tuscany. Photos are brilliant. If you are a Tuscany freak, if only in your dreams, such as I, this book is for you. Bella! I would read any of Frances Mayes works and smile all the way through.
