Bridget Jones' Diary (DVD, 2004, Collector's Edition)

The British have mastered the art of romantic comedies. Bridget Jones Diary is my favorite film. I've seen it over and over again. I'm a big fan of Colin Firth (Mr. Darcy) as well as Hugh Grant (Daniel Clever). Renee mastered that british accent and was able to conquer the hearts of all British fans of Helen Fielding who at first recented the selection of the Texan for the role of the beloved Bridget. I guess what brings me back to this film, apart from the irresistible Colin Firth, the funy jokes & situations, and her irreverence, is that I can identify with the Character of Bridget Jones, every girl has felt like Bridget at one point of their life.

As a woman, I think we've all had to decide between style and function in our clothing and the part in the movie where Bridget has to make a decision regarding her undergarments and what later happens because of that choice is very entertaining. I also think most people have met or know someone who is like Hugh Grant's character in the movie and he plays his character very well, you love to hate him. I don't think this movie is appropriate for everyone, and I think it's more of a girls' movie although my husband thought it was okay.

I bought this movie through Ebay because was having a hard time finding the first movie and already had the second.

This is a very cute movie.....How can you not like a film with Colin Firth and Hugh Grant? The story is a little contrived, but Rene Zellwager played Bridget, just as she was in the book. It's surprising that American Rene was chosen to play the role, which was so popular in Britain. But an English girl played Scarlett O'Hara in GWTW...so we're even.

Loved this movie!!! A must see, must have movie! Great laughs, great fun, and wonderful to see again and again!!

Its funny....and I need something like this to bright up my day.....and I receive it super fast........i like all the character......esspecialy Renee...

I bought the Bridget Jones diary DVD a month ago and I have really enjoyed wa tching it. I love Renee Zellwiger and this is a very fun romantic comedy and it is a great addition to my movie library. On the weekends I enjoy just spending time relaxing and this DVD has a nice upbeat make you feel good story. I have nothing negative to say about it.

I purchased the Bridget Jones DVD as a gift. It was the exactally what she wanted and the perfect gift. Arrived fast and in A 1 condtion. Could not have been an easier transaction. Thank you

I liked the movie but forgot when I purchased it that there might be cussing & sex. There was a lot; unlike watching it on TV where they changed the words.
The unmarried sex which sets a bad example for our youth, etc.

The movie was a good one - not what I expected it to be ... but it still is a good movie. It was at a GREAT PRICE on EBAY.

Just pittiful acting and overacting. Totally not what I expected of the cast. I didnt have any good pre-view idea of what the movie was about but I hoped it'd be more along the lines of a nancy drew kind of thing, therefore I was let down severely. Nothing of any mystery in this footage. unfortunately. Except perhaps...what the ???? were they thinking.

This movie is a comedy that is well worth your time to watch. It is based on a book with the same name. This movie makes me want to read the book to see if there was anything left out of the movie. I loved this movie!! Very funny!

I love this movie because it shows women that you do not have to be drop dead gorgeous to have a man. I got it because it has a lot of humor and I can watch it repeatedly.

This film I only discovered fairly recently, and just absolutely fell in love with it. After renting Pride and Prejudice understanding the connection between the two movies all made complete sense.

Renee is so extraordinary as Bridget Jones, who would have ever thought she could play so believable a modern Brit woman so well. Her accent seems flawless to me. Hugh Grant is hilarious and a charming Lothario throughout. But Colin Firth is who really sold me on this film. His ability to play a guy that you start out not liking but drooling over by the end of the movie is one you watch over and over.

This movie has a lot going on outside of the wonderful romance as well. Contemporary events, gender inequities, social differences, work place decorum, fashion, self-image, sex, family, and friendship all come under the scrutiny of Bridget Jones and her diary.

This is a very good adaptation of a beloved novel. The tone, scene selection, dialogue and characters capture the essence of what fans of the book love about it. I cannot imagine it any better cast or written.

it's great to have a movie you can laugh through, while also watching a heartwarming story ! i hope they are planning to make more bridget movies. these movies make you care about the characters so much, we just have to know what happens to them next, and, how they are all doing !

I just love this movie for it's comedy and light romance, it's great! The actors are great. You won't be disappointed. There is nothing I dislike about this movie. The Bridget Jones' character is outrageously funny! I bought this because I saw both part 1 and 2 and bought part 2 but did not have part 1. I like to watch it every now and again.

I love this movie because you never know whats going to happen next and who she will end up with. You can make a fool of yourself and still get the man.
I bought it because it is not on regular TV or cable and want watch it anytime I feel like it.

I never received this item at all. yhe money was taken out of my account almost immediately but the product was never delivered. nor did the seller ever contact me with a reason why. i am very disappointed with this business transaction.

It's a hilarious movie. A great one when you're feeling down. It will put you in a good mood. The actors make it all work together. I've watched it many, many times and it stil makes me laugh.

Love the DVD, one of my favorite movies. All the DVD extras are a wonderful bonus with insights from the director and deleted scenes.
