First off, you should know that this movie will not be what you expect, especially if you counted on the trailers to convey any sense of this film. It is not so much a fantasy film like Narnia as it is a tale about kids with imagination. You will not see much of Terabithia and most of it is revealed in the end of the film. However, this is a very good movie with some surprisingly wonderful performances by all of the child actors. Bridge to Terabithia gives fresh insight into how children can overcome obstacles and deal with things like bullies and peer pressure.

I will be forever moved by this movie!! Here I am a grown man fighting back tears in front of my 11 year old son, even having to turn away from him several times, barely able to handle the emotion this movie delivers. Coming from a horror flick fan that phases out the kiddie movies, this one captured my interest and never let go. I found myself captured by the real life hardships of being a kid in school, many of which brought me back to my school days. Whether you were the Bully or the Bullied, whether you were the new kid or one that wasn't able to go to school with the latest fads, this movie will force you to ponder your school days and add a special ingredient of that one special friend you could escape life's hardships with and move into a world of fantasy. Imagine how absolutely horrible it would be to have that world ripped away! The Boy took that pain and turned it into something good by reaching out and making someone else feel special! To label this as one of them feel good movies for kids would be grossly inaccurate as there is little "feel good" qualities about it with the exception of two kids with the need to escape from their own realities finding each other...but even that doesn't last long. Imagine having a million bucks then losing it overnight... I recommend this one to the young and the old, to parents, to classrooms, to everyone!! One other movie that had somewhat of a similar but lesser affect with me was "Pay it Forward" and then there was E.T.

Those of you who fantasize about make-believe lands need to buy this Movie. It was a little difficult for my 7 year old to understand, but it was great movie for my wife and I. This is a different experience from the other movies of this genre (The Chronicles of Narnia, etc.). However, We really recommend this movie for the entire family. 4 STARS!!!!

Really good movie. From the previews i was expecting a Narnia like movie, but its really NOT. Its a down to earth good movie about friendship and imagination. Definately a movie worth watching for all ages.

So the movie was pretty good adaptation of the book. They completely overlooked Jesse's love of running and it was so important in the book. I also did not care for the references to God after they went to church. We actually stopped the movie and explained our beliefs again to our kiddos. But overall it was a good movie, not a dry eye in the house. It was to much for the youngest of our six kids, but everyone 10 and up got to watch and they seemed to understand the content and related well to the characters.

A surprisingly good movie for all ages. The sound track is one of the better Blu-ray audio presentations that I have heard. Heavy use of rear channels and very seemless panning across the fronts. Truly a movie theatre quality soundtrack as it should be - that is what you are paying for with Blu-Ray.

The movie was good. The storyline, or plot, was the only thing that didn't make the movie an excellent movie. I like the fact that the two main characters were in their own fantasy world in their own place. I didn't like the fact that the girlfriend died near the end of the movie. I understand that it was like she was in their fantasy and not really real, but still, it was disappointing. Overall, very good movie for children and the entire family!!!

I may be few and far between with my feelings on this film but I enjoyed it much more than I enjoy your average family film. Annasophia Robb and Josh Hutcherson are almost guaranteed solid performances in the future and I'm excited to see them act as adults. The symbolism and aesthetic qualities of the story are outstanding. It's like I'm reading a classic piece of literature in school, I really think there's more to this film than a stupid 90 minute piece of entertainment parents throw their kids at.

Use caution for younger viewersI really loved this movie, it would have gotten a 5 of 5 rating if it wasn't for one little thing. I will mention that last because it might be a spoiler. First off it is a story that is told very well. I liked the combination of fantasy and reality plus the interaction between the characters seemed very believable. The computer animation or CGI sections were done well and it keeps you watching the whole time. I took my son to see it since it was rated PG and it seemed like a light hearted fantasy film. He did enjoy it and watched it all the way through which for him was good. That alone tells you a lot about the movie since he has been known to get bored in films and start to play with toys or figit. The thing that made me a little hesitant to recommend this film is that it is a family film yet there is a main part of the film that deals with a death. My son kept asking me did so-in-so die? Are they really dead? etc. Not really what I wanted to be dealing with and trying to explain to a 7 year old. I know it is rated PG and that does mean Parental Guidance but it seemed to be appropriate for him during all the previews I saw about the film. If it wasn't for the unexpected death the rest of the film was perfect family entertainment. Not too scary for younger children but exciting enough to keep them interested.

I love this movie, because it captures my heart, even though it is supposed to be for kids, it's very emotional. The best part is when all the bee's attack the beavers. The HD quality from Blu Ray really shows at that point in time, I found it to be the most quality part in the whole movie, you have to see it for yourself. The whole movie is just great.

braidge to terabithiaThis movie is great and since it's on blue ray the color was so clear. I'm definitely going to buy more blue ray DVD's. This movie has great actors and the storyline kept my kids entranced for the whole move. Would recommend for all children, and adult.s
