This movie is absolutely wonderful.
The brittish commander stands up for whats right until he is nearly dead.
This movie shows that standing up for whats right doesn't allways make you feel good right away, but ultimately, working together can make something wonderful which is destroyed by entropy.

The Bridge on the River Kwai is a top notch, five star movie with Acadamy Awards and leadership examples that are world class. The story rotates around a bridge to be built by Allied prisoners of war for a Japanese commander who runs the prison camp, for a railroad. There are production difficulties galore for the director of the camp, so that together with escapes and rescues, a demolition crew treking through to blow up the bridge, and workers and officers directing construction for the enemy, there is a huge plot, with great acting to rivet the most demanding viewer.
