best adaptation so far
Review created: 03/06/07(updated 03/08/07)
Bride & Prejudice is so far the best adaptation I have encountered to the beloved Austin novel (yes, including the famous BBC series, if you want my opinion). The movie succeeds in capturing the essence of the leading characters, without the need to fixed them in old costumes and rural aristocracy sceneries. And in the same bargain you get excellent dancing and singing.
In short - great feel-good movie, that allows even those who dislike Austin's literature to enjoy the romantics.
