I wasnt sure about this book at first, some of the "speech" used in it can be a little hard to understand, but it is truly amazing. You find yourself falling in love with the characters! It is very well written!

My sister let me borrow this book and I loved it so much that I bought it for my friend for Christmas. She also loved the book. It came in great shape and I had no problems with anything. This was my first purchase on ebay! :)

I am an avid reader and sometimes read a book without realizing it has sequels. I have found that I can usually find them on e-bay.

This is one of the best books I have read. It is a love story but is a clean love story. It is funny and very interesting, one that you want to keep reading and not put it down until you find out what is going to happen next.

Affordable copy of a great book. I thoroughly enjoy the works of the author, Deanne Gist. Those who like romantic novels with a Christian theme will appreciate this one. I highly recommend this book for the story line and historical interest.

Engaging Story - Not Traditional Romance
Review created: 08/21/06

The author did a fair amount of historical research before writing this novel and it shows. The background of the story is fairly inline with what Colonial America was like back then. I appreciated the details as to the use of trenchers (eating containers) and the use of common herbs to heal wounds.

This story was very plausible and I liked that quite a bit. It's not the traditional romance story in the Harlequin fashion (ick) and the characters are quite well-rounded and developed. I think the author did a good job with this book and deserved the Christy Award.
