Wonderful perspective on a woman's issue...with humor!

This movie has a great soundtrack and offers an interesting insight toward the mindset of men's physical perception of women and women's perception of themselves in today's society (and of the last few decades). It is both funny and sad at times, offering a serious look at how desperate women are to please men aesthetically and how we feel worthless without the right "look." I was able to relate to this movie and to the women portrayed in it because I, myself, have undergone this surgery. You get to hear testimonials of women before and after their surgeries (presented in a usually humorous/sarcastic way), including the emotional pain they endured before having it done, and the physical pain they endured afterward, but also how wonderful they felt about themselves after it. Unlike stated in a previous review about this movie, obviously by some man who has no respect toward women or our feelings, we who undergo this surgery are not "crazy." We simply want to feel better about ourselves. This movie portrays the desperate struggle women endure to achieve "perfection" in men's eyes and how much we hurt when we don't feel that we "measure up"--if you'll pardon the pun. I, like the ladies presented in the movie, became a completely different, very confident woman after having my procedure and I'm proud that I did it. I was able to fully empathize with the women when they were putting themselves down before their surgery, and then again after they had it and felt like a new person. It's a terrible shame that silicone caused the health problems you'll hear about when you watch the movie, but it's also interesting to see how women reacted when presented with the option of having "safer" implants replace their silicone ones. We women today are fortunate that so many years have passed since the creation of the implant so that more study could be conducted about how to improve implants for our safety. I've seen this movie a few times and am craving to see it again, but our local movie stores have discontinued carrying it, to my shock and dismay. I like it enough that I've decided to buy it. Ladies, this movie will give you a terrific understanding of what to expect if you're considering the surgery and how AMAZING you'll feel after you have it. Men, I know that the main thing that attracted you to view this film is the title, but it's not about "T&A," as you may be hoping for. It's a serious look at a woman's issue in today's society, done in a humorous way. Please try to watch it with an open mind and try to understand that this movie was based on the truth--that we women are absolutely desperate to please you and keep you attracted to us. I think men and women will both appreciate this movie. Not to mention that the end was a real killer! LOL Learn, appreciate, and enjoy. :)
