Breast Cancer Husband by Marc Silver (2004, Paperback)

I just received the book today and have read several pages and I can truly say this book is written for men to read by a man who expeirencd what I am currently going through with my wife. I plan on buying several copies and giving them to the local cancer society to give to men when they find out their wife has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. As the opening credits say " I am not the only man who is a car crier" This is an outstanding book and I am glad I found it.

An essential support for anyone whose spouse is getting therapy for breast cancer. My husband said he learned a great deal from it. Definitely recommended.

I bought this for my husband after finally figuring out that, with all my research and reading on breast cancer, I had not shared a lot of my findings with him. As someone who had been in that position of the husband of...., it helped him to realize that he could be upset too, and that it was okay. There are several passages in the book the Silver relates that have applied to 'our" case. I say that because he know knows that in order for me to beat the beast, I have to have his love and support. Several times he has tried something that he read in his book, and it has made me smile, just because I know he is trying so hard to help. A good everyday book for breast cancer and for the husband who is not quite sure what to do, and, when to do it.
