This Film is a classic about a group of high schoolers on detention with all the stereotypical roles being casted, the jock, the queen, the outcast, the geek, the stoner!! Though a day on detention anywhere else would never be like the one Hollywood has portrayed it certainly is an enjoyable soul-searching coming of age film. To call it a comedy alone would be an injustice as it has many of the elements as found in dramas. A keeper for sure but perhaps better in the DVD format!

You could remake this movie every 10 years for each generation with basically the same script. I don’t say that as a negative thing. The basic ideas and feeling and personalities would speak to all teens. It is a classic already for a reason!

) I have looked for this vhs movie in stores for a couple years, in those $5-$10 bins full of movies. Its an old movie, so it wont be on a shelf. I have not been able to find it, or dont have the patience to dig thru those bins looking for it. I found it so easily online and was shipped so quickly. I dont know why I didnt think to do this a long time ago. The price was right and I do believe it was free shipping!!!
